Well, since truth must be singular for it to be trurth, why do you claim that some one is self rightous just for accepting that truth?

Not for just accepting ā€œthatā€ truth, but for thinking his point of view is that one and only absolute truth. Plus the inescapable circular thinking connected to it.

It would be circular logic if I said Christianity is true; therefore, its true. However, that is certainly not how I approach Christianity. I believe it is true for the following reasons:
  1. There some very sound philosphical proofs for the existence of God.
  2. There are some very sound logical/historical arguements for the resurrection of Jesus.
  3. There are some very sound historical arguements for the fact that Jesus established the Catholic Church or, at least, that the Apostles established the Catholic Church.
    This is not cicular reasoning. Its is syllogistic.
    Now, If I believe that these arguements are sound , then how does it make me self righteous for believing Christianity to be true?

It doesnā€™t. When you start thinking that makes you a better person than others who do find those arguments that sound, then I dare say thereā€™s a wee bit of self-righteousness.
The circular logic was more or less demanded by buffalo telling people to seek the truth but only in a way that matches ā€œtheā€ (i.e. what he think is true) truth already.

Ok. I see your point. However, There is a strong tradition in the Catholic Church that calls for the use of reason. I suggest looking at the documents of the first Vatican Council .

Not at all says Buffalo.šŸ˜¦ I said search for the truth whervever it leads without preconditions.

Now, we can help lead you there if you are serious and open. You still can reject the truth right until the end if you like. I donā€™t recommend it though.

Just so we are clear, being a pagan is you telling God ā€œplease, please, send me to hell so I donā€™t have to ever follow your rulesā€. But I donā€™t want you to go to hell because no matter how naughty you are with the anus of another male that doesnā€™t belong to you, Satan can do a lot worse and he is just waiting for the chance. Learn about the Catholic church and when you become enough of a real man to understand and accept the truth, then you are always free to join and recieve forgiveness for the sins of you stupid youth.

Jesus is God, you have misunderstood this fundamental tenet of Christianity.

And angels are not gods, they are created beings who serve God without cease.

Saints (in the sense you mean) are those who have died and are accepted to have gone to heaven. They are not gods

Martyrs are those who have been murdered for their faith. Again, not gods.

Learn first, then make a comment.

actually i know what all those are
BUT most catholic churches praise those people (Jesus being an exception i just threw in)

Of course we praise them. But as heroes, not as gods. People who were living examples of living a Christ like life.

Why did you ā€˜ā€˜just throw Jesus inā€™ā€™?

apparently when you praise them, you 'take away from the glory that it was God who ā€™

Fair enough. But no, we do not take glory from God, we praise their good deeds and thank God, the Father Almighty, for sending them to us/granting the special gifts to those people.

thats what i did, cuz i used to pray to saints (and my prayers came true!), but one of my catholic teachers said it took away from Godā€¦and i have yet to have one prayer answered that fast in TWO YEARS!šŸ˜¦ but things are a-changinā€™!šŸ˜ƒ

Prayers to saints arenā€™t the same as a prayer to God, theyā€™re in essence a request for that saint, or angel to join you in prayer for your intentions, that God willing, they be granted. If you treat a saint like a miracle dispenser then yeah, youā€™re taking glory from God.
