So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners (Sura 47:4)

Islam as a whole is a Gnostic religion with a sola scriptura mentality, only one book universally used, and that one book includes advice to be brutal and/or intolerant of non-believers AND mis-believers…

Each sect is defined by what they accept as scriptural. The Ahmadi have pacifistic Hadith and other writings. The Sufi have their additional writings. The Suni and Shiite have various Hadith.

But the violence is in the Quran, as others have posted.

So, as long as the Quran persists, its message of hate, isolation, and oppression, not to mention bloody violence to force conversion if force is used at all, all lead to the probability that the Quran itself will repeatedly give rise to extremist sects that can and will freely use violence to condem non-muslims, and then, when they can no longer reach these, proceed to other, less viscious muslims, much as the radicals of prior centuries did, and declare them heretics and/or apostates, and apply their extreme vision to them as well.

And whether the Ahmadis agree, the Iranian Muslim Clerics are calling for war on the West, on Christians, and on Democracy, in the Name of Allah. Until sects like the Ahmadi agree to aid in stopping the nutcases, or at least become politically active, they are tacitly allowing others to “hijack” their reputation.

Good point…but of course it doesn’t matter what I or you or even peaceful Muslims posting here think they are saying…it’s what the millions of Radical Muslims think they are saying.

I’ll tell you who is violent and bent on ruling the world. It is the politicians. They are the ones who start the wars. And they brainwash people into following them.

In the Middle East today, many of these politicians are disguised as religious leaders. They have brainwashed their followers into killing their fellow Muslim, and anyone else who stands in their way.

You can’t blame Muslims any more than you can blame the Germans for Hitler, or the Chinese for Mao, or any nationality, racial group or religious faith. It is the politician who starts the wars.

Blame the politicians - that’s the easy way out. Unfortunately people have to take personal responsibility for all the things they do.

If you are a theist - you have to believe that you will one day account for your own sins before your God. You can’t tell him to blame the politicians. Let’s imagine the conversation on Judgement Day.

They are lukewarm muslims, and they will be annihilated by the truly faithful muslims. They are as bad as the infidels, if not worse. A true muslim lives the message if Islam. Peace only comes by submission to the will of Allah. All those who refuse to submit will not find peace, but the sword. It is not rabid, it is just basic.

Pakistan has a population of 164 million. 51% is already 84 million.

Show me one Muslim who is sick and tired of all the rabid Christophobia on their boards. I have watched muslim terrorists who have converted to Christianity deny any covenant with Ishmael. By the true standards of Islam, those whom we would consider “good Muslims” are not good at all. They do not spread Islam by the sword, they are willing to live in peace with infidels and they do not mutilate their females. No American convert to Islam should consider themselves able to speak authoritativly on Islam. You are of far less value to them then you might realize. When America was rescuing Muslins from death camps in Bosnia, did one muslim anywhere in the world say thank you? No, because they are nothing to the Arab muslims. They repaid us with 911.

They want to inflict Islam on the world but converts are worth nothing to Islam. St Paul asked that he be cut off from Christ for the sake of the Church. Any and all “Good” Muslims would kill every one of us to get into Heaven and would never think of emulating St. Paul. If a terrorist had a bomb big enough to kill everyone including Muslims he would use it to get into Heaven. Please show me how wrong I am. No American Muslims need reply.

That is not true, Abu Kamoon. I learnt about Islam from the Muslims in Islamic countries. Some of my relatives are Muslims but those ‘peaceful and good’ Muslims have no problems oppressing others.

You should hear the anti-Jew and anti-Western and anti-Christian rants from the ordinary ‘peaceful and good’ Muslims who have no problems oppressing Christians because their Islamic Allah told them to do so. I also read the Quran and hadiths and am not guided by any politician in my knowledge of Islam.

Everyone is responsible for his or her actions.
