Fair enough, but I don’t use the term derogatorily in the slightest. I am very fond of Don Quixote. Nothing wrong with pursuing an ideal or a just cause to the ends of the earth.

I actually have more sympathy with the broader implications than any isolated incident involving a set of individuals. That is where the gossip angle comes in. IMHO. The good of this posting would be beyond that - should parishes look more introspectively, seriously at leadership, management issues with respect to practicing the faith. I agree with you that the answer is often yes. Again, I have never been in a parish that doesn’t emphasize/practice a tolerant, social justice oriented, culturally sensitive mentality over and above ‘dogma’ or ‘doctrine.’ Way over.
