I agree with these sentiments. Seeing a “cross” in light at night is not that unusual given the way our eyes work–e.g. the glow around a bright street lamp. Did you take any other pictures from this same vantage point in similar weather conditions? What you need is a photographic “control” in order to look for significant differences.Although I can see the figures of which you speak, I believe it to be just the light shining on the clouds. The human brain is very well designed to recognize both the human form and face, so when pictures like these are taken, it’s easy to see the human form, it kind of jumps out at us.
However, just because it may be just the lights striking the clouds, surely God knows that it would reflect the image it does to us. I’m not sure if that means anything, though.
