Yes, I tend to think women are more feminine in dresses and skirts. I feel prettiest for my husband when I wear a dress. Although, ironically, some of my trousers are more modest than my dresses.

I refuse to wear shorts, because I feel exposed when I have bared thighs. I also will not leave the house if a skirt or dress exposes any portion of my thigh when I sit down or bend over. So, during the hot times of the year, I will wear capris when I want to be very active (even for working out I wear capri-length pants), or I wear longer sundresses (which I often have to layer with T-shirts or camisoles). Anyway, I share this to show that it is possible to have a preference for a specific kind of attire, but still I must make some exceptions for certain activities and wear trousers.

And I am glad that the Catholic Church allows for that decision-making to be done by the individual person and their family, because some Christian women are not so lucky.
