Brown bag happy face avatars are for all Christians who are happy in the Lord! If you are a grumpy Catholic or Protestant who likes to fight other Christians, then don’t put on the brown bag happy face. We are commanded to rejoice in the Lord always! My theology of rejoicing in the Lord always, and being content in Him is the superior theology.

I felt I needed to comment on where your thread was going. Threads that start with “IMO it’s better to be Protestant…” don’t usually stay on topic. I do admire your faith in God and I most definitely hope for all the best in your life this Lenten Season.

What is the origin of Protestant chruch? Who created it? Why were 6 books removed from the Holy Bible, and why were they considered not important?
What was the reason for the protest? If it was created by one person, than why is it not united? How many protests are yet to come into existance?
Do all protestant churches follow different bibilical readings ie read whatever you must but it should be from the bible, or like catholics, all churches reading the same readings of the day?
Do Protestant churches give importance to Eucheristic celebration? Do they have any Saints? How do they celebrate Lent?

None of your questions have satisfactory answers because there is no single, unified, “Protestant Church.” There ate some 30,000 faith communities with differing doctrines, yet they ALL claim to be led by the Holy Spirit and are faithful to the Scriptures. I find this hard to believe. I personally hold that any faith community that goes against the Apostolic teaching of the Early Fathers is misinterpreting the Scriptures.

This original statement is Catholic in nature and doctrine, not protestant. Everything stated in this statement is from catholic doctrine. This shows the problem at its root, that most protestants either have not read or do not understand catholic teaching.
The main difference between catholic teaching and protestant teaching is rooted in sola scriptura(scripture alone as one’s authority). This is neither a biblical nor historical concept of the early church.

Also understand that Sola Fide (by faith alone) is a pillar of protestantism, and can not be found anywhere in Sacred Scripture or Sacred Tradition. They also reject the need for Apostolic Authority, and in doing so , reject the Sacraments.

God knows His sheep and creates everlasting unity in Christ. His Sheep go way beyond being a member of a Protestant or Catholic churches. God makes sinners His sheep by grace alone through faith in His Son. It is not our particular church membership in a tradition in which we are sheep belonging to God. It is because of our Lord Jesus Christ that we are sheep.

Trinitarian Christians have unity in the Holy Bible.
Where Trinitarian Christians see unity in the one faith of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and diversity in celebrating that faith, Catholics simply see division and confusion.

Paper bags are of the world, are a symbol of nothing in particular, and rot quickly… rather, like the the father in the Prodigal Son, we the Church will gladly take their wayward son back. We’d fatten a calf and celebrate with the reunion.:harp::flowers:
