My question to the liberals here is: What offense or crime has he committed you think is an impeachable offense?

Tweeting misinformation and outright lies to the American people should be an impeachable offense.

My guess is that there are many Republicans who want to impeach Trump as well as Democrats.

Well, if that’s all it would take, Obama would have been impeached right off the bat, too. Please, this is just plain silly. Impeaching a president is a very serious matter for which very serious crimes would have to be committed. And even then it doesn’t mean a president would be forced out of office. Clinton was impeached for a far more serious offense than a few tweets, but he stayed put. Trump is not going to be impeached or driven from office for the terrible offense of having beaten Hillary for the presidency, which what many on both sides of the aisle are really upset about. :rolleyes:

I think we can agree that all right thinking people support the impeachment of Trump, the problem is we’ve allowed to much wrongthink to be expressed in public forums. How do we get rid of all the wrongthinking people so the right thinking people can do what’s right?

I’m not a liberal, but just for the record, it’s not clear that “high crimes and misdemeanors” has to mean an actual violation of the criminal code that you could go to jail for in the normal world. It can mean almost anything Congress wants it to mean.
 
If the Dems take the House in 2018, Trump Will be impeached, even if they have no evidence of Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors (which can be whatever the impeachers say it is). I doubt there would be a 2/3 majority in the Senate to remove Trump from office but I would bet money on him being impeached with a Dem majority House.
 
I think he will end up resigning because he bit off more than he can chew, and is realizing being president is less fun than being on TV saying “You’re fired”.
 
Just one more act in the circus. I am neither a liberal nor a Trump supporter. My opinion is that if the democrats can get enough support to impeach Trump, then good for them. The good news is that between Trump’s behavior and that of Congress, not much will get done this year. And the less the government does, the better off society is. So I think more special prosecuters need to be appointed, let’s investigate Trump, Hillary and why don’t we through in Bernie for good measure.

If he is impeached, it means the Vice takes over, correct? How does that help the Democrats?

Which is why I have no problem with impeachment. My advice to the democrats is push on! Of course, after Pence is Al Haig I think. But that dates me.

And Maxine Waters has already publicly stated that impeaching Pence is next - not that he’s actually done anything at all yet.

The more extreme parts of the Trump program (the wall, killing Obamacare, rescinding NAFTA) would not survive under Pence. That would be a win for them.

You mean the issues Trump ran on? And for that matter, with respect to Obamacare, the issue every Republican ran on?
 
If he somehow gets impeached it will be do to his innate inability to be wrong, seen as weak, or the “loser”. The more he tries to dodge any responsibly, for even trivial issues, the more he is tying his own noose and begging someone to tie it to a tree. No matter your opinion of Obama, he did not do this.

Clinton should have been removed from office as he lied under oath.
