The word “impeachment” means indictment.

The House holds impeachment hearings. The trial is supposed to be done by the senate.

Supposed to be.

Wonder if NP will sit behind President Trump with her mouth all screwed up biting on her lips the entire time like she has in the past. How very very awkward and embarrassing it will be for her and the Dem Congress to have to eat crow for 90 minutes.😜

have to eat crow
Eat crow? The Congressional Republicans have been made to fully expose their priority for political power over safeguarding the nation - joining the coverup of abuse of power, by refusing to hear witnesses that he American people overwhelmingly want to hear, while also blocking legislation to define in statue such acts as crimes.

Pelosi, right behind Trump, will likely probably be very polite, but not unclear in green-plain shirting Trump. And if Senate Republicans do indeed refuse requests for witnesses, then the House will subpoena Bolton and others, and the saga will continue.

Well, if everyone you see on TV are Fox News pundits or Alan Dershowitz, then their opinion isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit.
You are aware, are you not, that virtually every “pundit program” on Fox features Democrats with opposing views? Yes, there is debate, but it isn’t as if there’s no dissent on those programs. It’s there all the time, and one would have a difficult time not learning the Dem point of view. The quality is such that in my opinion those guests do a better job than the Dems at CNN.

One notable exception is Maria Bartiromo. She’ll have guests who have contrary political points of view, but she won’t tolerate someone spouting economic nonsense. But hers is a business program, so that’s to be expected. Ideology is ideology, but business is business.
Trump has called Bolton a liar
Actually, I have not been able to find where he did. He has certainly challenged what others have said Bolton says, but I have not seen him directly call Bolton a “liar”.
Don’t need a full vote.

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.) Ridgerunner:
A vote of the House is required for validity. Pelosi and company didn’t do it before issuing supoenas. Later, they didn’t even bother issuing subpoenas
There is nothing that suggests Biden did anything wrong
Nothing except his saying he required a “quid pro quo” for American aid; that being the firing of the duly appointed Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Burisma. I do fully understand why Dems don’t want that investigated.

The Dems have become increasingly totalitarian in their ways. Likely your grandchildren and mine will reach adulthood in a country in which dissent from the Dem party is not possible. But that’s to be expected. A party that is unbothered by killing millions of children cannot be expected to have a conscience in any other way.

The new meme is JB worker at the pleasure of the president so he Isn’t guilty of any wrongdoing. If that’s the case maybe Obama should be retroactively impeached🤨

NP is actually quite old and fragile. Sadly, the stress leading up to the acquittal and aftermath will probably take a toll on her.

I’ve watched every minute of this trial…thinking what a terrible waste of resources and time.
If only democrats could be penalized for this theft…

I think there’s another aspect to it, though. For a long time she resisted taking the impeachment road for various reasons; a big one being that it wasn’t “nonpartisan” in any respect. But at least the pundits claimed she was forced into it by “the squad” and other hard leftists in the House. If so, and if the senate trial crashes today or tomorrow, Nancy will be vindicated and the “squad” will suffer in its influence in the party. Moreover, her ability to make every single Dem house member do her will is plain.

So she might be a winner in at least one respect.

@Jeanne_S

Or doing her imitation of a seal clap. I wish I knew how to imbed the video.

@Donkey

Yes, I wish they could be penalized for putting the country through this partisan political sham. And I wish Americans could be assured no political party could ever be able to do what they have done for the
last 3 years.

the “squad” will suffer in its influence in the party
Throughout all this I’ve wondered what exactly propels this costly and very public sham.

For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Ephesians 6:12

Ephesians 6:10-17

Just to be clear, are you saying that the patriotic Americans who are pushing for Trump to be held accountable for his actions are evil, and following Satan?

…saying there is more than what meets the eye.
The prayer before each part of the trial…

In her House where Trump is her guest, I doubt it.
Fake Trials have no witnesses . Everybody knows.

I thought he was describing Trump. Do you think someone else?
Fortunately Bolton is confirming the entire house case today.
He knows what’s best is making this sham trial illegitimate dramatically.

It was necessary even though GOP senators are Trump tools afraid of primaries and loosing donors.

Yes, I am aware that Fox News has people on that might represent a Democratic view. Many are lightweights and cannot articulate the view clearly. Many are clueless. Many have discovered if they are too vigorous, they won’t be invited back.

Maria Bartiromo wouldn’t know economic nonsense if it bit her. She is a partisan, nothing more.

He said that what Bolton said happened never happened and said Bolton said what he did only to sell a book. But we won’t know exactly what he said until the book comes out because the Republicans are so desperate to protect Trump, they won’t allow Bolton to testify.

House decides the rules, not the White House. But keep repeating the White House talking points like you do when you say…

More falsehoods. The prosecutor’s investigation into Burisma was dormant. Nothing was happening. Causing a corrupt prosecutor to be fired would result in the possibility of a renewed investigation into Burisma, which could potentially put the company his son was working for in legal jeopardy. The right wing view on this makes no sense, but it doesn’t stop it from being repeated over and over again.

I don’t think they’re Trump tools, but if Hawley or Blunt voted for witnesses, I would absolutely oppose them in their next primaries. Absolutely. If, because of one of them, this cost to the country doesn’t end, I will never forgive him. It might be different for Murkowski or Collins who live in liberal states, but for most Repub senators, it would not be. I could be wrong, but I think Romney is doing what he’s doing out of personal pique, and I will definitely contribute to the campaign of anyone who runs against him in any future primaries even though I don’t live in Utah.

I get that you don’t like the rules of the Senate apparently, but that is the way this thing works. It is a bit disingenuous to cry foul after the game has been played when everyone knew the rules going in. I didn’t like how Schiff handled the impeachment in the House, but he technically followed the rules.

Also, Murkowski is a no-vote on witnesses.
