I think we call those electric cat callers. My son and daughter-in-law have an electric can opener now and I never can get the can in the right position for the opener to start. It frustrates me!

I have my mother’s Corning Ware casserole dishes from the 60s and I use them constantlyRETRO–I still use my Grandma’s mixing bowls. She wrote her name on them in indelible marker decades ago, and it’s a nice connection with her.
I still do it for the most part. With that said, I also use Gboard, which has some excellent swipe-texting and word recommendations, which makes proper writing easier. While I do think Apple’s keyboard beats it out in word recommendations (seriously, it’s freaky good), swipe texting is absolutely necessary for me anymore.when I text I use proper punctuation and spelling.
I’m making my own sprinkler system with microcontrollers, having gotten fed up with the fancy boxes failing after a couple of years in this climate . . .All my serious music listening is on vinyl and home made vacuum tube electronics.
i don’t remember the last time I saw ribbons or re-inking ink for one . . . but I do have one or two in my garage, along with a couple of Apple ][ that were going to run a model railroad someday (but now it will be a micro controller; with the pi and arduino, the Apple ][ has finally been topped for accessible hobbyist control circuitry . . .) . . .Dot matrix printer.
I have this very coffeepot in my garage! (but a drip pot makes much better coffee, and even better is my vacuum pot . . .)., and a couple of my grandmother’s kitchen things (an ancient rotary sifter, among others).
My “sprinkler system” has neither tubes nor microcontrollers – Whatever God deems to sendI’m making my own sprinkler system with microcontrollers, having gotten fed up with the fancy boxes failing after a couple of years in this climate . . .
That doesn’t work so well in the desert . . .My “sprinkler system” has neither tubes nor microcontrollers – Whatever God deems to send
It works perfectly in the desert – It is obviously God’s will to save me from mowing a lawn.Titivillus:![]()
