The book, with certain problems in specific details, overall expresses the truth that there was an infiltration.
What is the cure? Railing at the darkness, no? Rationally exposing it to more not ‘in the know,’
for purposes of awareness, yes.
More unity. We see an immensely ailing, hurting culture.
The insistent battle between staunch Traditionalist & staunch liberals is a result of fear;
of what happened to The Church & culture. This is not conducive to healing.

Let’s join hands, ask Jesus Christ to help us form a healthy compassionate healing response to our historical setting. And lets form more unity, without passivity; but due diligence to inform of The Living Jesus Christ always with us. He literally knows every thought & nuance of every single person in the world’s life. His Voice brings inner peace, a good ‘inner disposition’ more and more; to do our part.
Peace.

If Bella Dodd’s assertions were true, why didn’t she reveal names, so as to root out the infiltrators?🤔

We can’t draw a conclusion by ‘not naming’ names in a dangerous Cold War that was much more than propaganda. Well, respected persons like, Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, knowing much more than us spoke of some of her assertions on ‘Life is Worth Living.’
"A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing,’ on EWTN, spoke of aspects, including Fr. Pacwa in the video. Dietrich von Hildebrand in “A Trojan Horse in The City of God: The Catholic Crisis Explained,” with an authorized printing in 1993, with a forward by John Cardinal O’Connor; which includes “It would not be unfair to ask whether von Hildebrand’s critique of distorted interpretations and invasion of the Church by secularism, which might be accurate in describing the early years of turbulence following the Council, is apt for 1993. I believe it is equally apt for 1993, unfortunately because so many of his warnings were ignored and ridiculed in 1967.” Emphasis mine, gives credibility with the use of the word ‘invasion.’ Credible well respected, walk the walk, persons knowing more details than us, lived through this period in history of incremental propaganda of secularism gradually gain more and more of a foot hold in open societies; with objectives realized now dangerous to all as a stumbling block to a participation in Christ, with The Divine Revelation handed down since Suffering Servant Jesus Christ with clarifications of particular historical times available.
Why would I not discern credibility from this and more from credible persons with more information? Why would I chuck away this discernment by the many speculative assertions so many give?
We need to concentrate on solutions, rather than debate the actual means of the immense rise of exalting secularism. For example, (cont…)

One’s own Godly work in prayer, words, and actions in all aspects of building a Godly culture of life & charity; helps increase a participation in Christ. John Paul ii taught & directed to form a sustained vast sign of life and charity in every part of The Church and society. (ref. "ADDRESS OF THE HOLY FATHER JOHN PAUL II, AT THE COMMEMORATION OF THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENCYCLICAL “EVANGELIUM VITAE” Monday, 14 February 2000~). This included living up to diligently expressing a change in laws & practices to live up to Creeds that express Creator given inalienable self-evident truths in The Laws of Nature by Nature’s God as a form of asserting Benevolent Justice & Peace given by The Sovereignty of Jesus Christ. (ref. QUAS PRIMAS , ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS XI, ON THE FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING). Also, “In Pope Leo XIII’s time such a concept of the Church’s right and duty was far from being commonly admitted. Indeed, a two-fold approach prevailed: one directed to this world and this life, to which faith ought to remain extraneous; the other directed towards a purely other-worldly salvation, which neither enlightens nor directs existence on earth. The Pope’s approach in publishing Rerum novarum gave the Church “citizenship status” as it were, amid the changing realities of public life, and this standing would be more fully confirmed later on. In effect, to teach and to spread her social doctrine pertains to the Church’s evangelizing mission and is an essential part of the Christian message, since this doctrine points out the direct consequences of that message in the life of society and situates daily work and struggles for justice in the context of bearing witness to Christ the Saviour.” from “JOHN PAUL II HOLY FATHER, « CENTESIMUS ANNUS » ENCYCLICAL LETTER TO HIS VENERABLE BROTHER BISHOPS, IN THE EPISCOPATE, THE PRIESTS AND DEACONS, FAMILIES OF MEN AND WOMEN RELIGIOUS, ALL THE CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL AND TO ALL MEN AND WOMEN OF GOOD WILL ON THE HUNDRETH ANNIVERSARY OF RERUM NOVARUM.” ~
How can we obtain the Blessed Assurance, that God seeking Simon-Peter, Saul who became Paul, John The Apostle & many others? Well, I love take up your cross daily, renounce everything, seek ye first The Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you as well; and so many more. How can we sense cooperating with Grace? Peace grows in ‘inner disposition’ as the personal will, moves towards God’s Perfect Will. Evidenced by sincere heartfelt concern for others with a self giving attitude in thinking, praying, speaking, and action. Humility by nature gives greater sense of lessening ‘self aggrandizement’ for feelings of self worth within one’s ‘inner disposition’ giving impetus for motivations in thinking, praying, speaking, and action as partly ‘look at me & my ways’ mixed with ‘look at God & God’s Ways.’ A growth in a self-giving Godly ‘inner disposition’ can be discerned; and growth develops due diligence in cooperating with Jesus Christ seeking us. A growth in humility. Peace.

please read my immediate previous posts. maybe because, being a ‘sleeper cell’ type person, she couldn’t name names. maybe perceived or real threats to her family. this was not unheard of during the Cold War.
Here is a link to the book itself:

“Bella Dodd’s story is a human document of immense importance to Americans today. Here are the inner workings of the Communist Party in this country as seen from the secret counsels and strategy meetings of the National committee, to which she belonged for a crucial span of years. As long ago as the 1940’s, the Party was planning cynically to use the Negroes as instruments in the revolution-to-come in the United States. The theory, contrived by Stalin and unleashed by Foster, was to encourage “self-determination of the Negroes in the black belt” and the establishment of a Negro nation with the right to secede from the United States. Bella Dodd’s is a story familiar to many a young American idealist who saw in Communism a new gospel and who worked sacrificially in the cause until the inevitable bitter day when the cause betrayed him. For her that day came almost too late for her own salvation, for as she tells us, “it takes a long time to ‘unbecome’ a Communist.” As a brilliant young college instructor, and one with legal training, Bella Dodd attracted the attention of top Communists by her unremitting fight to improve the pay and working conditions of New York City’s teachers. Her conversion to Communism was a slow infiltration of the mind by an appeal to love of humanity, a vision of a better society and wider social justice. She rose in Party ranks to National Committee membership and was as well the legislative representative of its New York State Committee, a member of the State Board and the State Secretariat. This report of her activities and those of the high-up Party leaders covers the historic period during World War II of the Democratic Front, the Rapp-Coudert investigation of Communist teachers, the propaganda drive in behalf of Loyalist Spain, the work of the Women’s Trade Union for Peace, the goings-on in the famous 'Ninth Floor” of Communist headquarters. She recreates the atmosphere of suspicion and conspiracy which was part of the air she breathed in those days. She reports tense sessions in which friends turned their backs on friends and former leaders found themselves demoted overnight as the “Party line” from Moscow changed course. The climax of the book is a snowy Christmas Eve when Bell Dodd finds the reaffirmation of her faith, and is able to say, “I have learned from bitter experience that you cannot serve man unless you first serve God in sincerity and truth.” Bella Dodd became widely known as a lecturer. She also wrote and practiced law in her New York Office."

Has anyone read, “Boys of the Cloth”, by Vincent J. Miles? I want to read it. What are your thoughts?

I don’t like how some of these ‘dissidents’ make me feel. They may have valid points, but I have found that I can judge the help or harm someone or some idea is producing by studying the effect on my spirit, for lack of a better word. And I have found Voris and those like him to have a deleterious effect. YMMV.
