Would’nt be too sure about that. I thought apes evolved in parallel with humans.

That is not in conflict with an evolving body. You claim it is created. I claim that the body evolved. I have physical evidence for my claim. For your claim, you have to interpret a book of the bible literally and ignore the evidence.

You have skeletal remains of people.
There is no such thing as a scientific test for the human soul.
i.e. you cannot say that the person who owned this tooth did not have a human soul.
Therefore you have no evidence that the human body evolved from animal to man.

Orogeny:

The Church allows me to accept an evolved body. Unless the Church is willing to allow me to believe in error, I would suggest that the Church also accepts an evolved body.

The church, as I understand it, accepts whatever is the correct answer. That is, whatever is true.

Orogeny:

Believe it or not, I actually support your right to believe that humans bodies were created and not evolved. I don’t think it will affect your salvation one iota. There are some on these forums, however, that would not say the same about my position.

For some one to believe God created matter and ordered the universe from nothing - there is theoretically no reason to believe he couldnt, wouldnt, or didnt create the human body and soul together as a unified single original being.
If you wish to believe he did most of the work slowly thats ok with me too. We believe the same but differ on the how.
