There exists in ideality only two sexes. God made Adam and Eve male and female. What we have in reality is something that does not fit into either.
There’s still only two sexes. Nobody can be 50% Male 50% Female. You are one or the other but with different deformities and imperfections. There’s no third sex.

Even if scientifically it were impossible to determine whether someone is male or female, which I don’t believe, God only makes male and female.
You are sounding like a fundamentalist, Cruciferi. The whole point here is that we are talking about something that is an abberation of God’s intention. It is as if you keep repeating “God does not create birth defects”. Ok, but since birth defects exist, what does that mean?
Problem is these people don’t seem to be. Maybe their soul is but I frankly don’t know if souls have a sex.
No, souls do not. Jesus was clear that our heavenly bodies will be like angels (without sex).
They don’t seem but perhaps we’re missing something. Something yet to be discovered?
Hopefully, but even more scientific discovery has not prevented the occurrance of certain congenital and hereditary anomalies.
Even my father had a dream about my sister before my mother was pregnant. In that dream she appeared as a girl.
Dreams and visions appear to us according to what we are able to grasp with our limited human faculties.
If being male and female weren’t important, Jesus and Mary would be androgynous angel-like beings. Since they’re not, there must be a greater purpose to being male and female besides copulation.
No one is suggesting it is not important, just that God’s intention for humanity in this area has been corrupted by original sin, as have other aspects of human nature. Sex is not important in the next life.
We’ll receive our bodies back and from that point on NOBODY KNOWS what we shall do next!
Mark 12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Our glorified bodies will not be sexual, as there will not be procreation.

I’ve been called that before. I don’t care though. 🙂 God made man and woman. Regardless of whether we can determine it, we’re one or the other. Defects are permitted but God knows the truth!
No, souls do not. Jesus was clear that our heavenly bodies will be like angels (without sex).
Notice how you stated “Heavenly Bodies”? Nobody has their bodies yet! They’re spirits right now and haven’t resurrected yet 🤫 On the Last Day, you’ll come back Male or Female. No androgynous persons.
Hopefully, but even more scientific discovery has not prevented the occurrance of certain congenital and hereditary anomalies.
Gene Therapy, given soon enough, may prevent these problems.
Our glorified bodies will not be sexual, as there will not be procreation.
There’s obviously more to being a man or woman than just having sex.

I don’t know what intersex means, but if it means that one has a deformity of their genitalia then I’d guess that they should leave them be or remove the non functioning organs so they can live a normal life and get married and have children.

Most of them cant have children and lack the biological drive to fit into roles of male or female. Its easier for their peace of mind to just be then commit to any one thing.

Gender is mostly for procreation anyway, since they cant it really shouldn’t matter.

Then they should be left alone. God created them as they were, either male or female. There is no changing what God set in stone.

Don’t Catholics believe that human souls are male and female as well?

Souls Don't Wear Raincoats - FOCUS Equip

Fr Mike seems to explain that we’re still male and female in heaven, rather than gender being simply just for procreation. Our bodies in heaven will be male and female according to the theology of the body and that saying that we will sex-less bodies is considered heresy

(I’m still quite new to this though)

Well, you could read some of the earlier posts in this thread if you wanted to learn what intersex means. There are some excellent posts on this subject.

Yes. That’s Klinefelter Syndrome and one of my relatives has that condition.

Alex337:
How are these two sexes (which is different to gender) defined?
ah, male and female. If that question has to be asked we are in deep trouble in this culture.
Cool. Should be easy to answer 🙂 Care to?

You quoted my answer., so how could you miss it. I do not play these games.

I guess I must spell it out. Some people need that.

You asked for the definition of the two sexes.

Answer: The two sexes are male and female. There are no other sexes but these two. All people are either male or female.

If you need a definition of “male” and “female”, then I suggest you consult a dictionary, or go back to school, since an education is lacking if one does not know what “male” and “female” means.

I am amazed that there are 200 posts. This is suppose to be a Catholic forum As such, the issue should have been covered in less then 10 posts.
