once China stops lending us the money {to buy their products}, our standard of living decreases dramatically. Our trade deficit is a massive problem.
TO BUY THEIR PRODUCTS is your constant cry, which you now said TWICE not once. And I’m saying we don’t not need to buy their products. Your saying that:shrug: The fact we owe them money doesn’t bind us to their insane trade policy. Sorry I DO NOT agree. Its a falacy in fact.
No, our “Fair Trade” policy is the problem. And you continue to keep mentioning “buying Chinas products” and I keep reminding you we do not need China’s products, in fact they are inferior to ours. they “need” our business. Its a cost effective ratio thats attractive to America’s, verse quality. THATs ALL!!!
There is no Fair Trade with China in our Fair Trade policy. And no 42-cents on the dollar is unacceptable and in fact “insane” Especially to promote slave labor.
Let me give you an example. I buy a Fender USA made electric guitar in the USA today and it cost $1000. and thats production line, not Custom Shop. The same product from China “their best product” by Fender is $350. The quality is not as good but to some its cost effective. To me its junk.
In truth all China does in provide a market in a specific price range which Japan and Korea also do. The question really is will Americans work for slave labor to produce that same product in the same price range. And the answer is NO, and rightfully so. However someone else will. Craftsmanship in America and manufacturing in the USA aspire to a higher quality. But you pay for what you get in this world. Simple fact of life. Americans will take a cut and sacrifice to get the country up and running again. Nothing new, just watch how it works when ran correctly. As the wealth increase’s then America’s craftsman expect an increase. And rightfully so. But we don’t build junk intentionally here, they do. There is the difference between us and them.
Manufacturing in the USA is supply and demand period. To assume the supply will stop somehow because of China is totally incorrect.
Let me give you another example. God forbid we should be at war with China tommorrow,. Do you suppose the USA will be buying China’s product still? Do you actually believe we we will fold up shop and send up a white flag? Because I assure you we won’t. What pray tell do you think will happen here in the US of A.
Peace
