I’ve always thought, as this is a Catholic forum, Catholics ARE allowed to prosytelize non-Catholics? But not vice-versa.
At least someone has told me here once.
NO… we don’t do that, we teach, and usually by example. Here we are bit unarmed and reduced to written words, which at time are lacking. But nontheless we shall make do with what we have and be happy:D

God Bless, GT

I attended a SDA church for several months. The emphasis is not on the first two commandments as Jesus says are the most vital on which all the other Laws hang, but on the second coming of Christ, the fourth commandment, and a continual repentence of not eating meat (this does not make them more Holy and is defininately not a repentence, as this is either out of habit or tradition), as Jesus, when fasting in the desert, He abstained from all foods, not just meat, and they do not wear jewelry either, but they do not emphasize money saved from not buying jewelry be spent on the poor and oppressed either. Instead, SDA and 3ABN ask for money. So-no-I do not believe they have Jesus’s best Christian and Faith and Love and Charity in mind. Therefore, I see the Adventist Christian being grossly misled from the actual teachings of Jesus. No-this is not Christian.

Yes, Other things take priority over Christ and HIS law. Dont they my dear Sister. Very well said indeed. Peace to you and prayers. 👍

OK. Now that we have a couple of genuine Seventh Day Adventist here, I have invited them to clear up any misconceptions I may have about them. Hopefully… So here we go again. Remember, we are tackling Doctrine, not people. We will leave tackling to the professional football players. 😉 I promised I will be loving and kind…Truly, I am trying to work on it, so I will change my Avitar for awhile. 🙂

Also my Adventist friends. take your time to read thru the thread. Take as much time as you need. Im very patient. Peace to you 🙂
Oh, and just for the record. The avitar is what is known as a Trinitarian Flower…Pink is definitely not my color. 😊

Bible Truth Versus Adventist Truth - Ellen White
Notice I didnt say are Adventist Christians. My question pertains to the doctrines of Adventism. Are the doctrines taught in the Adventist Church in line with what has been taught, not only by Catholicism, but by Protestants as well, throughout Church History?
I.E. the Trinity? the Sabbath? Christology? Are these very important and essential doctrines the same? Or do they hold to a different Jesus? A different Trinity.
We see alot of threads here about the Mormons. But have we ever really investigated if in fact, the Adventist Hold to some very un orthodox teachings concerning the Faith?
Again. Lets Keep this to Adventist doctrine, and not individual Adventist. Peace 🙂
:harp: Hi Benidict,

If you go to Voices of Victory/Guy Penrod, you will find most of these questions answered. This does not do the actual comparison/contrast, but does define the basic precepts of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in a numbered sequence. Guy Penrod’s Breathe Deep CD is great to listen to also.

Could you provide a web address? Is this the Guy Penrod that sings with Bill Gaither?

Thank you

Why thank you my Dear Sister. I shall research this. 🙂 I appreciate it much. Peace and prayers for you and yours. 👍

Hi Richard. I have been praying for you. Has your health improved? :signofcross: Good to see you are back. 🙂

In this area the CC has always appealed to me in a special way. When I think scripture and then see how the Church responds to all in need? I see Gods work and feel it.

God Bless, Gary

Hi Richard. Any time you are healthy enough to discuss any of the issues on this thread, I will be happy to do so. Take your time. I want you fully healthy. We both know how intense we both can get. It would be nice to have an Adventist come on here and take this on. I also have some questions about the patriarchs and the law. Peace and prayers for your return to full health. :signofcross:
