That’s because they are not the same Person.You have to remember that we believe that ALL scripture is equally inspired. If the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write his letters, then that means that they are just as much the word of God as Jesus’ words in the Gospels.
By the way, am I the only one who finds it a little distrurbing that we’re three pages into this thread and not one Catholic has objected to the OP’s statement that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are the same person?
And, to the OP, who should the Protestants stress? Pan the Goat God? Vishnu? Uncle Sam?
