If you are claiming that evolution hasn’t confused, weakened or even destroyed the faith of any Catholic, then I beg to differ.
None that I have known, please illustrate the who, what , when, where, why and how this happened, because I’m a bit skeptical that it damaged anyone’s faith.

Vestigial organs have been debunked and so many appendix have been removed because of it.

You keep saying this, and each time you say it, you are wrong.
“Evolution is the greatest vehicle for athesim ever invented.” - William Provine.

And Edwest is correct - microbe-man evolution is scientifcally useless. If you don’t agree, prove otherwise.

Atheism is a worldview that knowingly is at odds with religion. The connection is very clear. No evolution, and what does your atheism stand on as evidence?

Earlier, I related the story of the nun who taught me in highschool who announced to the class that the Church had “lied to us. We weren’t created, we evolved.” A couple of years later she left her order. I can’t supply the evidence, but I suspect evolution has created doubts and confusion in the minds of many more Catholics than just one nun.

Atheism was around long before evolution, some atheists see it as evidence that God doesn’t exist, but that is not a scientific conclusion, it is a philosophical one, and materialistic philosophy at that.

Evolution is not proof of any philosophy, especially not atheism.

Well, that is unfortunate, but I don’t think evolution was the cause of her taking such an unscientific and unCatholic idea that God lied and didn’t create us.

I think the world the flesh and the devil might be more at play, but it is hardly obvious that evolution damaged her faith. It could have already been damaged by sin.

It is not hard to find, nevertheless, the number of total atheists is small, and scientists who are atheists is even smaller.
Whatever. The spirit of atheism dominates the scientific community. Of that there is no doubt.

I get your beef with athiests and atheistic scientists, I don’t like their atheism either. But I can separate them from evolution, but I don’t know that you and others on this thread can.

It dominates all but the Catholic scientists with the spirit of the Church, praise be to God.

I wasn’t joking. I was illustrating a point.

This thread was never intended to be serious discussion anyway. Read the OP.

And are you serious?

Edit:

Also, wasn’t Darwin a Christian?

It’s dead serious for the atheist, have you heard of Pascal’s Wager ?
