If you must, please be factual. It was Hebrew.Yes, I read it in the above post. Thanks for the repeat. Now all you have to do is find it in the teachings of Jesus and backed up by the Law and/or the Prophets. Really, you should be able to find it in both the Law and the words of the Prophets as I have always found one to back up the other and more clearly than most are willing to admit. I know⦠mote⦠kind of difficult to see with it stuck in the eyes. I have hope for you though.

And Hellenistic to boot! In case you are unaware, the Hellenistic views were mythologies popular to Egypt, Greece, and of course Rome⦠of which Paul also tried to claim homage to in hopes of escaping death. If you must, please be factual. It was Hebrew.
Paul did not write the letter to the Hebrews. Muslims tactic to demonize him is worrisome and by doing that you thought you have cut off your problem for you do not have to answer to Paul. Well, if you talk to a Christian, there is no way that you can alineate Paul though Christianity does not totally hinge on this one apostle of Jesus.Reuben J:
Perhaps I see your reasoning for reposting it. If it is due to Paulās endorsement of Jesus being the mediator of the New Covenant, this means little to me. You should notice, in fact, that you are not giving me the details of the āNew Covenantā in this verse. The only New Covenant that Jesus would have promoted would be the one in Jeremiah 31 which again, is not to mankind but rather to the house of Israel. Paul is just trying to push that mote further into your eye by using the name Jesus for his false teachings. I am trying to help you pull it out.
I will await the conditions of this new covenant and the endorsement in the Law and in the words of the Prophets since this is where Jesus said his teachings would be confirmed.![]()
You know⦠at this point, the false assumptions that I am Muslim are only serving to make me that much more interested in what it is they teach since I was raised in Christianity by my parents and raised in THE Truth by the Word of the LORD given to us by the Jewish who speak on behalf of God. Perhaps the Muslims do understand that it is the Jewish who are Godās people; which I did not realize. If they do acknowledge this, then I guess we all should be joining efforts to help the Christians out with the mote they are refusing to let go of. However, if they do not admit that it is the Jewish who are the speakers on behalf of God, I am still willing to commune with them in hopes of helping them to see the truth as well.Paul did not write the letter to the Hebrews. Muslims tactic to demonize him is worrisome and by doing that you thought you have cut off your problem for you do not have to answer to Paul. Well, if you talk to a Christian, there is no way that you can alineate Paul though Christianity does not totally hinge on this one apostle of Jesus.
Jeremiah 31 comes to fruit in Jesus. His new covenant is his death for the salvation of mankind - his body and his blood that he gave for this purpose which was stated by Jesus himself.
As a Christian whatās written in the NT is sufficient for me. You can speculate and you are free to do so. I only ask you to be factual should you reference the Bible.
It is not Jesus I am trying to demonize, but rather just trying to help you come to terms that **it is the Jewish people who are the ones you should be looking to **
which Jewish people?
inJESUS;4877262:
yes am ignorant so please tell me which Jewish people should we be looking at.inJESUS:
it is ironic your name and yet you ask me this question. Have you not studied the teachings of Jesus. Perhaps you too think Paulās name is Jesus? Remember, there were no identity theft preventions back then⦠but we are given the Truth quite clearly. Most assuredly you are focused only on the deceiverās teachings if you do not know the answer to your own question.![]()
Hi,Ouch! to the wasps. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hope you are doing well now?
As for the proof, examples, sources⦠well,
The above should more than suffice
- Our last President (contribution of the Christians themselves⦠has HIGHLY impacted not only our lives negatively, but many lives in the world)
but Iāll throw in 2 more for the heck of it.
Now, you might wonder why the above is seen in a negative light to me⦠and in fact, I find it HIGHLY negative in how it has impacted our lives. I have had to fight the school board in order to be able to keep my kids from saying the pledge and I went through this stress because
- Pledge of Allegience (the product of socialist baptist pastor, Francis Bellamy, who wanted nothing more than to see this country turned into socialist state)
a) I do not want them staring at a piece of material making a meaningless pledge day in and day out⦠their loyalty should be to their family and their friends; not the flag of a nation because then, they will make the mistake of many in falling for nationalization which allows for manipulation and exploitation of human beings.
b) a pledge should be taken when it can be chosen
c) a pledge should only need to be taken once
d) I am against socialism⦠taking peoples earned money and distributing it out where the govāt sees fit is stealing; not charity. Charity should be from the heart for its sake alone.
Thanks to christianity, the above was introduced, inducted into the lives of the most innocent, and valued and endorsed by (granted⦠well meaning however, either uninformed and/or uneducated, or else imposing) christians.
I love the innocence of children
- Though I could easily share something more influential, I must bypass to throw this one in because I am really tired of seeing this. Imposed morals by āin the faceā approaches⦠the most disgusting of which are those christian (a LOT of catholics) groups standing on a sidewalk where INNOCENT children are passing by having to see HUGE, āno way ya can missā pictures of torn apart fetuses.
It is fine if they want to expose their most innocent family members to such a heart wrenching and devestating picture⦠but I am tired of it being imposed on my innocent children when we are out and about.
and there really is no need to force not only their children (but their choice certainly) but definitely not mine to the extremes of life when they are just barely beginning to understand the world around them. Discretion is something that escapes these groups. My oldest son is old enough to understand that he is seeing something horrific and yet he is not old enough to understand every angle of the issue; highly unfair to do to children. I have been forced to approach an issue with him that I know he is not mentally developed enough to fully understand in order to ease the fear and pain of what he was forced to see (when a momma is driving and turns a corner, she canāt lean over to cover the eyes⦠and seriously, those signs are so HUGE that an observant child soaking in the enviroment is not going to miss).
Obviously the last one gets me heated more than the first two, which cause me concern, but this one⦠well, sheesh!
This pushing of morals onto society is making it worse for everyone. I am quite often doing damage control for the moralists because there are many secularist out there who are not truly against God, but because they have been made to feel like filthy sinners, they naturally attribute that to God. why should good, honest people have all their mistakes and wrongs (that are in the past) consistently thrown into their face because they do not choose to condone human sacrifice? Anyway⦠you asked.
Whew! that felt good to vent! lol Now⦠having said all of that, my family subscribes to christianity and I love them fiercely! My sister and her husband are kind and they live the example of the teachings of Jesus. They never impose it onto others. They hang out and have a good time with those around them and quietly live the example rather than loudly proclaiming their moralistic views.
My best friend (lifetime soul mate type of friend in fact) is a chrisitan and her husband is not only a christian, but he is actually the founder of two widely known prolife movements here in America⦠we just do not discuss it. lol
So⦠it is not that I oppose Christians⦠just the hypocrisy and untruths that were given by the poster to which I replied.

An honest Christian on this board! I love how sarcasm gives Christians moments of strength to be honest. Being of the Irish bloodline and prone to sarcasm myself, I can appreciate this!yes am ignorant so please tell me which Jewish people should we be looking at.
Matthew 5:17-19 Those who do the teachings of Jesus which are found also in, and confirmed via the Law and the Prophets. I am sure you have a Bible correct, inJESUS? I was able to use my Bible from the age of 5 years (knew the books; had MANY passages memorized; and delighted in the Word at a young age⦠which might account why I was better able to pull the mote out)⦠I assume since you are posting that you are over the age of 5 years and so I have hope that you will learn how to decipher the Truth from lies! Good luck!![]()
haha⦠no, I would not say that vegetarians would be responsible for the induction of the pledge if he had been one. The reason is really simple and only requires a bit of logic if you do not want to be bothered with doing the research. Vegetarians choose this lifestyle typically based on their physical health and not so much on the basis of morality. Francis Bellamy however felt that socialism was necessary based on his moralistic views⦠which christians have shown to support and promote, clearly. I am not saying that non christians do not⦠but it was the moralist christians (not just Francis Bellamy; though he was the instigator) who helped to introduce this into our society. Thus⦠despite the laugh I had at the humor in your post, your logic falls short and this is fact.Hi,
Just a question to help me understand this post
Was the pledge of allegiance formed because it was deemed to be a Christian thing to do ??
Or was it formed to help nurture patriotism (which I personally think it does, and I wish Australia had such a thing) by a person who just happened to be a Christian ??
So if the person who formed the pledge just happened to be a vegetarian, would you then say vegetarianism has impacted negatively on your life ??
Sorry to sound sarcastic, I am trying to understand your huge dislike of the pledge
As a non-American, I think the pledge is great, and I dont agree at all that it is for exploitation (but that is for another thread)
Thanks
Because I have a mind that can reason toward the Truth. They are pledging to a piece of material⦠this puts an image in the mind and conjures up āgood old childhood feelingsā thus leading to easy manipulation and exploitation of those in this country based on false pretenses. It is called brainwashing.Hi,

I was trying to work out why you blame Christians for socialism that is allhaha⦠no, I would not say that vegetarians would be responsible for the induction of the pledge if he had been one. I am sorry about your brotherBecause I have a mind that can reason toward the Truth. They are pledging to a piece of material⦠this puts an image in the mind and conjures up āgood old childhood feelingsā thus leading to easy manipulation and exploitation of those in this country based on false pretenses. It is called brainwashing.
Moralistic is what the pledge to the flag is.
I value my sonsā rights to choose what it is they pledge their devotion to and I hope to God that I teach them well enough that it will not be to an image that can be used to manipulate them into doing things that they will regret.
I will tell you⦠this touches a very personal nerve with me because I watched this very scenario play out before my eyes with my brother during Desert Storm. My brother came home safe and sound⦠or we had thought so. He is no longer with us by his own choice. It gave me cause to consider and in that considering I saw the Truth about many things that are terribly wrong and frightening in our country⦠and most are started in Sunday Schools and Educational (errr⦠) Schools while we and now our children are at very impressionable and tender ages. I tell you the Truth and whether you want to consider it or not, it is your choice. Personally, my children are worth more to me than something that gives me good feelings, yet deceivingly so.
That WAS NOT the main intent of this nation. If you look at American history, most of the founders wanted limited or no immigration to be allowed. While we have gone beyond our original concept of isolationism, I want to see how Christianity caused us to enter either World War.Actually, only a bit of research and logic will tell you that Christianity did play a significant role in these events. Foreign trade was intended to be the only branch of foreign policy as you can see when you research the beginnings of our country. The main intent was for this country to be a safe haven for those seeking refuge from controlling governments. The only wars to be fought were to be defensive, on our soil, and certainly no alliances to be forged with other nations.
I think that you are leaving out an important but misguided concept: Manifest destiny: God put us here to be a light to guide all to democracy. That actually has nothing to dow ith Christianity and more to do with the elevation of democracy to sacred. Then came the moralistics with who introduced nationalization into the school systems and general life. Christianity taught their children that they should fight for the honor of the flag, save the nation and the world. After all, that is good morals and the christian way, right? Not so much when we find ourselves fighting battles of greed in the name of Christianity⦠and we are; or had you not noticed? Hey⦠I see it elsewhere; not just with Christianity and America. Just whilst everyone is focused on all those strange evil peopleās atrocities, let us not forget that we are just as guilty, if not more so. The mote again.![]()
Irrelavent. The question is if you are punished in America BY THE GOVERNMENT for changing faiths. You are not. In many Muslim dominated nations, you are, unless you become Christian. And not to sound heartless, but if some of these people would clean their own house, our military would not be there. Unless you are a truthie, you must admit they attacked us first.Really? I will suggest to you as well that a visit to other nations that have been and are being visited by our military might be beneficial then. Ask them personally if they agree with you on that. Donāt rely on a form of entertainment that gets paid quite handsomely (fox, cnn, msnbc, etc) to tell you what others think you should hear, because you obviously are or you would not have said the above statement. Just because you will be hard pressed to find it in this country (hard pressed⦠not completely hidden though), it is not so difficult to find it going on in other countries⦠courtesy of the red, white, and blue in the name of God and our country!
Either rest assured and realize you are not alone in that or maybe you could try.![]()
okBeing honest; which I was only able to do when I took the advice of Jesus and removed the mote, blind faith, out of my eye to see that the problem is not so much external, but rather internal. If more Christians could remove that mote and be honest, perhaps God would see fit to use them to better the world in more effectives ways. That would be my hope anyway. And I do not think it is far fetched. I think most people as individuals have good hearts and want what is right. But, I know that the mote is big and hurts incredibly whilst pulling it⦠I know from experience.
Fair enough. Small follow up question: who is right? Those who seek to end abortion or those who seek to promote it?I do⦠go another route when I must pass that way; speaking of the abortion clinic that is. It is highly inconvenient though since it is only one of two ways to get from my home to a particular destination. The other one adds a good 25 minutes onto our journey and being a single mother, the gas wasted hurts⦠but I do it. No worries, I do not speak vainly.![]()
I do look clearly at problems caused by people. I see it impossible that the Catholic Faith in and of itself has caused any because it was founded by Jesus Christ himself. Now, the people IN the Church have made mistakes, but not the doctrineI am not offended by American history. I do not know where you saw me say that. I am just being honest about the facts of American history. I am sure you have heard āBe the change that you want to seeā⦠Gandhi. Well, again, from experience i know how VERY difficult it is to face the truth about oneās own belief system and the wrongs that have stemmed from it, but I did it because I wanted to live in reality. Figure it this way, if you are not wrong, then what harm does it take to actually consider another perspective? At least you will be arguing a fairly after you took the time to consider.
So, do you judge Christianity by the grandstanders? Give me a few names of famous people that you think of when you hear the word āChristian?āUhā¦I did not say that. If you are talking about my references to former President Bush, he was just using it because it is all the people who put him in office cared to see and hear from him⦠they did not care what he did so long as he spoke what they wanted to hear. It is the Truth. Though, I do not blame him and I do think he served his purpose in office. Many of us were blind to the same things and it served to shake our worlds because the contradictions suddenly became that apparent. The leaders serve their purposes quite well⦠they are reflections of where the people of the nations are at.
Not a bad concept.Dialog is not impossible and we can never think it is. Considering the original question, this thread shows the answer of a resounding NO. But the answer ultimately depends on how us Catholics (or any religion or goverment) respond to Muslims. Understanding and compassion can develope if we respect each other and establish common ground. I remind myself of the forgiveness Pope John Paul II exercised with the young Muslim who shot him. It will take strong willingness and determined effort from everyone envolved. I propose a World Peace Gathering of all religious leaders. The sooner everyone realizes that waring and fighting isnāt a successful tactic, never has been and predictably never will be in the future, the sooner we all will be one giant step closer to our ultimate goals.
Peace & Love.
Biased and false statements.PROVE IT.A couple of mannerly ladies do not a fundamentalist Imam make.Go to a Mosque ANY Mosque and make that assertion that āthey never endorse their religion over Judaism or Christianityā and youāll be laughed(and rightfully so)right out of the building.By the by,ISLAM translated is PEACE.Are you referring to Islam when you say the āRELIGION OF PEACE?ā If so, I know little about Islam, though I do talk regularly to a couple of mannerly ladies who walk by my house with their well behaved children in tow and have had nice discussions about religion with Muslims, though contrary to what you are saying on here, they have never endorsed their religion over Judaism or Christianity⦠they feel that it is time to take down the barriers and worship the one True God in spirit and in truth⦠as do I.
It is not the Jewish and the Muslims who seem to be sending out the recruits for their religions (as you have claimed about the latter), but rather the Christians⦠punishable by hell for non compliance. I am doing nothing more here than stating the Truth as I can not help to do when I see biased and false statements as I have seen in your posts. I do not choose to be Muslim, though I am open to hearing about their religion. I feel comfortable with what it is I already subscribe to⦠that being the Word of God, given to us by the Jewish.![]()
I believe that fairly recently Pope Benedict even mused out loud whether dialogue WAS possible.Dialog is not impossible and we can never think it is.
