Yes it is. It does not break forum rules
It has nothing to do with forum rules.
It is pointless speculation about a matter and it is not appropriate for Christians to say someone is in hell. It is not our place to judge on whether someone is in hell.

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;” (Luke 6:37)

That’s your opinion. Nothing in the church prevents us from discussing gods mercy.

My signature would be my response to this.
If a person has a healthy sense *of his own standing *before God, these kinds of questions are rendered moot.
The question itself is not a discussion of God’s mercy, it’s speculation about something that is none of our business and not even close to our sphere of influence or competence.

What good end does pointless speculation serve? (serious question)

3/4 of this forum is hypothetical speculation. I think you’re in the wrong place

No not really. It’s apologetics.
The Church does not teach that any human specifically is in hell. To put it legal language, the Church does not “canonize” the damned.

So it’s speculation.
It’s not taught.
You couldn’t possibly know.
Speculation.
really, 🤷

I never said I know. So stop putting words in my mouth.

I’d be very surprised if he’s not. The church hasn’t declared anyone is in Hell as it doesn’t want to be accused of “judging” (“Judge not lest you be judged”).

But we* can have* an opinion, and I’d be very, very surprised if he’s not in hell. I’ve said before ad infinitum that the night my own father died, he appeared in my room. My final view of that particular event was him screaming his head off as something (which I couldn’t see) was obviously coming for him, and he was terrified out of his wits. His fear was so frightening I started to scream.

Then he just vanished.

So as far as I’m concerned, I think it’s quite likely my own father is in hell. But the evils he committed were trivial compared to that of Hitler.

Every time I look at a photo of Hitler, there seems to me to be a dark shadow about his face.

That might just be photographer’s licence. But to me it indicates something. I think he’s in the very depths of hell.

But that’s only my personal opinion. It’s just that I remember my father’s final apparition on the night he died thirty eight years ago, and I haven’t heard or seen from him since, Nothing but terror.

“For he will give fire, and worms into their flesh, that they may burn and feel forever.” Judith 16:21

Judith sang this phrase as part of her song celebrating the death of Holofernes (she cut his head off), and the defeat of his army. Certainly we can make educated judgments on notorious evil men like Hitler. Certainly he is in Hell, why even ask the question?🤷

Even IF we concede that Judith had some special insight in to the eternal destination of Holofernes, that does not translate to: therefore we know that [very bad person A, B and C] are in hell.
