Wow, lots of heated commentary on this subject, eh?
Most working class Mexicans are attracted to America because we are a rich, wealthy, and free nation.
Sodom was a wealthy, fertile valley, and foreigners were attracted to moving to Sodom in the hopes of earning their fortune. The Sodomites, however, were greedy, violent, and hated immigrants because the Sodomites wanted to keep their prosperity to themselves. The Sodomites would rape any foreigners that would try to move to their land of prosperity. As a result of Sodom’s sinful behavior towards the poor foreigners, God struck down Sodom and destroyed it.
In America, we need to be kind and understanding to foreign immigrants that want to come to this country for legitimate reasons – to raise a family, work in our economy, etc.
America has a legitimate right, however, to make sure that foreign immigrants are not terrorists, violent criminals, members of the drug cartels, etc. We need to screen out these bad apples, and yet still come up with a way to welcome foreigners that want to be part of America by joining our country as ordinary American citizens.
