Restrictive immigration laws? Estimate Average: 162,651.2 Illegals here count from at leaast 43 states does this look restrictive to you by any means? So, I haven’ a lot of knowledge on this subject. If I understand it, this is the argument that some have suggested:
Laws fall into two catagories, divine laws, and human laws.
Human laws can be good, but they can also go against divine aw, in which case they are bad.
The right to migrate is part of divine law - it is part of human nature.
Restricting migration is therefore a human law, but it can be an acceptable, just, and necessary law if it is protecting other natural rights.
Overly restricting migration for reasons that are unjust, however, is against divine law, and as such cannot be condoned. Those who disobey such a law may have reduced culpability. In some cases, it might be a duty to break the law.
THe US currently has overly restrictive immigration laws. We can see this because there are far more jobs available than there are workers to fill them, and yet immigration quotas are not increased.
So we could say the US has a large portion of the responsibility in creating a situation where people in need, trying to use their natural and divine desire to migrate in such circumstances, are being thwarted for unjust reasons. This reduces their culpability when they break the law.
What do you want just take away border control so we can end up like a third world country?
I dont know about you but I enjoy being able to drink water from my kitchen sink with out having to worry about getting sick.
I enjoy having clean streets Garbage pick up and clean restraunts to go out to eat.
Illegal Immigration Costs California Over Ten Billion Annually Thats just 1 state.
I’m willing to bet that most people living outside of the Denver metro are not aware that in the fall of 1999 five Asian gang members, illegal aliens as it was reported many years latter, kidnapped and gang raped a University of Colorado coed. Initiation rites were involved and they specifically targeted a “white woman.”
If it wasn’t for the archiving efforts of some groups fighting illegal immigration general knowledge of such incidents would be lost to all but the most serious researcher
•he overall financial impact of illegal alien crimes is estimated at between $14.4 and $81 billion or more per year. Factor in the crime as a result of the cocaine and other drugs being smuggled in and the number may reach $150 billion per year.
In recent Testimony of District Attorney John M. Morganelli before the House Subcommittee on immigration, Border, Security and Claims he stated:
“Unfortunately, the majority of illegal aliens who are here are engaged in criminal activity. Identity theft, use of fraudulent social security numbers and green cards, tax evasion, driving without licenses represent some of the crimes that are engaged in by the majority of illegal aliens on a daily basis merely to maintain and hide their illegal status.
In addition, violent crime and drug distribution and possession is also prevalent among illegal aliens. Over 25% of today’s federal prison population are illegal aliens. In some areas of the country, 12% of felonies, 25% of burglaries and 34% of thefts are committed by illegal aliens.”
Still think illegal immigration is a “victimless crime” and we don’t need to control our borders?
In tolerating illegal immigration, how many Americans do YOU accept being molested, raped and murdered each year to save ten cents on a head of lettuce?

Catholic Church and the Immigration Debate
May 7, 2009 by Robert Fay
The U.S. immigration debate is really not about immigration per say (i.e. legal immigration), but about illegal immigration. Now while the Catholic Church is highly sympathetic to the struggles and challenges that immigrants face – after all Jesus Christ, the Blessed Mother, and St. Joseph were immigrants in Egypt for a time – the Church also appreciates that nations have a right to regulate their borders.
The Catechism also stresses that immigrants and foreigners should be grateful to the their new home, and try to learn its ways and customs:
“Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.”
Such as obtaining legal visitation , work permits and obeying the laws.
Illegal immigrant is not obeying the laws and they are well aware of this i.e. the word illegal.
