Sorry, I made a typo and went back and corrected it to say, “breaking a JUST law is a sin.” An unjust law is exactly what it says, *without justice or unfair."Breaking an unjust law is a sin. What is an unjust law?![]()

Absolutely not, where do you get that idea from? Let’s talk about drinking age - it’s a perfect example of an area where different jurisdictions can legitimately make differing laws, laws which are binding on their citizens. So, if smoking pot is not by it’s nature sinful (wrong), then wouldn’t a law that criminilizes those who are not doing something wrong be unjust?
How true it is.![]()
Ana here is the point, You asked if smoking pot is a sin. They answered you they said yes, it is breaking the law. What you really want is someone to say sure get stoned its fine. It is not fine Ana. If fries your brain, one high leads to another high!
I challenge you to quote me ranting because of a disagreeing perspective in this thread.
I notice CWbetts hasn’t been able to and I’ll bet you can’t either.
Again, I responded with capitals and exclamations to his insulting my employers with an unfair and incorrect accusation. Do you defend this type of behaviour? Is that what the thumbs up is for? Or all manners aside, as long as the person shares YOUR opinion?![]()
Actually CW and I do disagree on this thread which negates what you said. I just agree with CW that you are the one ranting. Your response to my thumbs up clearly shows how you react to folks who are not in perfect agreement with you, with sarcasm. see post 233,235

I’ll bet I can. See the above rant.

Your thumbs up indicated agreement with cwbetts that I was irritated because he was not in agreement with me. I had already responded that my irritation was not because of that but for another reason. I also apologized for my sarcasm. Yet, you insist on claiming to know my motives for my sarcasm, even as I am telling you otherwise! Yo have no way of knowing what my motives are, except by what I have written.Actually CW and I do disagree on this thread which negates what you said. Oh sorry, this is the quote you are trying to say is a rant?

Rinnie, here is the point. I did NOT ask if it was a sin to smoke marijuana. I am participating in a discussion forum titled, “Is is a sin or sinful to smoke marijuana?”Ana here is the point, You asked if smoking pot is a sin. They answered you they said yes, it is breaking the law. What you really want is someone to say sure get stoned its fine. It is not fine Ana. If fries your brain, one high leads to another high!
Tell me Ana, I don’t know how old you are, but do you want your kid stoned all the time? Tell me this, you see your kids getting stoned what are you going to say? Here you need some beer, your may get thirsty?
This is the underlying ASSUMPTION behind most who think smoking marijuana is a sin. What you really want is someone to say sure get stoned its fine!
Okay Ana what is it that upset you so much. I answered the thread the best I could. I said yes I believe it it a sin, it breaks the law and according to the Church breaking the law is sinful. Now what did I say that was so disrespectful? This is the underlying ASSUMPTION behind most who think smoking marijuana is a sin.
I am appalled by the lack of manners on this site. Although, I did get sarcastic, I did apologize. Others here seem to be above reproach,.
Here is what you said, that I found to be uncharitable and assuming …Okay Ana what is it that upset you so much. I answered the thread the best I could. Now Yes I do assume that People who smoke it do it for one reason to get stoned. Now what other reason could there be. And please don’t say to relax, etc getting stoned is getting stoned!
There actually proven pharmeceutical uses for THC
THC is not marijuana. It is the active chemical ingredient in marijuana.
If a doctor wants to use THC to treat a patient, he may do so - by using THC. He doesn't have to use marijuana as the method of administration, nor have I heard of any doctors saying that marijuana is a good vehicle for administering THC.
I know there are many people who say they smoke pot to relieve one illness or another. How many of those decided to do this on their own, absent any doctor's prescription? Even it it's true, wouldn't the use of THC - the active ingredient - be at least as effective? But then it wouldn't make them high.Which I believe is the point for most of those who advocate the use of pot "for medical reasons".
Disclaimer: I realize there are those who honestly believe in the medical use of pot. I have no wish to insult or denigrate them.
I appreciate your disclaimer.THC is not marijuana. It is the active chemical ingredient in marijuana.

Still, I believe they are most likely outnumbered by those who use “medical marijuana” as an excuse to get high.
Ok Ana if that is really what you meant I am sorry. I was wrong, But why did you not tell me that in the first place. Why did you not say please read what I said, for medical reasons. I would have not answered it that way. So if that is the question on this thread is smoking it for medical reasons a sin, I will have to change my answer NO. But I am sorry I did not read every post, but you also could have made your self clearer also. You also made a assumption that I read your post on medical reasons. As I said I did not see that. But as a rule is it a sin for the average person, just for the high, yes I do!Here is what you said, that I found to be uncharitable and assuming …
**…“What you *really want ***is for someone to say get stoned it’s fine!”
I came on here and stated my position. You can state YOUR postion, but you cannot state my position for me.
How could you possibly know what I really want? You can ask, if it is what I want. But you don’t KNOW this. And FYI, that is NOT what I want.
I am an advocate for medical marijuana as stated numerous times in this thread. I am on the fence and exploring the issue for recreational use. Either way, I feel it should be decriminalized. Whether or not you disagree with my position is besides the point. It IS NOT TRUE that I want people to say, “Get stoned, it’s fine!”
The OTHER reasons people smoke marijuana are, glaucoma, AIDS wasting, chemo patients, those with MS, certain emotional disorders, etc.
You have a right to your opinion, and I respect it. I have a right to mine, without people making assumptions about my motives.
Ask me if you really want to know what I think, don’t just accuse me of something that is not even an accurate portrayal of my already stated position.
God bless.
Now if marijuana would become decriminalized, o do not believe it would be a sin to use the substance responsibly. However I am opposed to the decriminalization of marijuana, but that is a topic for another thread…Here is what you said, that I found to be uncharitable and assuming …

Thanks, rinnie. I appreciate and accept your apology. Yes, I did assume you read the earlier posts, I apologize.Ok Ana if that is really what you meant I am sorry. Now I do not want to assume, so you can clear this up for me. Now you feel it should be decriminalized is this correct. Now you stated you are exploring recreational use correct. Now does smoking it not make you stoned? Now I do not want to assume but why would you be against it, if you are exploring recreations use, and think it should be decriminalized? I am asking, I am showing why I assumed. Now why would those words lead me to assume you are against it. But again you can explain it to me now… I am asking? Here is what you said, that I found to be uncharitable and assuming …
