That because Jesus is God, he created us?
Also why did he create us?
Also why did he create us?
I think that’s what I’d stick with. The communication of idioms allows for us to say things like “God died in the Cross” or “God created the world.”The world was created by the Father through the son.
How? How was the world created by the father through the son. I dont really understandNo. The world was created by the Father through the son.
Ok. So they are all equally eternal? They are coeternal.
Decades before John wrote his gospel, Philo had likewise taught that the Logos was the creative agent of God. Following Greek philosophical distinctions between types of causes, Philo held that God is the efficient cause, by whom the cosmos was made, while the Logos was the instrumental cause, by means of which the cosmos was made. This subtle distinction was recognized even by Paul, his contemporary, who wrote to the Corinthians of “one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.”whyeyeman:![]()

What’s the Logos?Logos
In the beginning= the Son1 In the beginning** God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.
I’m sorry, I was using Gen 1 to show that all three divine persons shared in the act of creation. Not that the Holy Spirit acted alone.I see it a little differently. I see the Son, the Logos – not the Spirit – as the creative agent of God the Father.
I view the creative act as originating ( not to be thought of chronologically) in the Father, creation willed . The Son, who as the Word conceives what the Father wills and the creative act is completed by God loving what He wills and conceived. And so as St. Thomas teaches" the divine Persons, according to the nature of their procession, have a causality respecting the creation of things."
I agree with everything you said." God the Father made the creature through His Word, which is His Son; and through His Love, which is the Holy Ghost. And so the processions of the Persons are the type of the productions of creatures inasmuch as they include the essential attributes, knowledge and will."
