Hitler, his wife Eva Braun & his dog Blondi committed suicide-Blondi’s death by Prussic pills could be viewed by Hitler as doing what he can to save his family from falling into enemies as the Red Army was going to take Berlin. German sometimes committed familial suicide as the Red Army was taking Germany to avoid becoming Soviet casualties just some Japanese families committed suicides in Okinawa as we took over their Islands. Hitler’s deed of committing suicide with Eva Braun & Blondi reflected that of several thousand Germans who committed suicide in Berlin with their family pets.… He shot his dog before killing himself as he thought his dog could talk and would tell the Allies all his secrets. Why are you posting about Hitler and the Nazis? What has this to do with the morality of hunting?
Yes, Hitler was into health fads. Already said that Hitler was a meat eater for most of his life but @ various times he called himself a vegetarian. Hitler sometimes got hostile treatment from his cooks who would try to sneak in meat given that Germans are big meat eaters. The reason Hitler & the Nazis come into this is the fact that the Nazis did pass hunting laws which were advanced for it’s time & the Germans were advanced when it came to veterinary science. In fact the Germans were advanced in many ways during the Nazi period be it cars (Volkswagen Beetle 1938), steel (Kruppe steel) & yes veterinary science which incl. hunting laws & the fastest way to kill shellfish. Hitler signed laws on the fastest way to kill crustaceans & Air Force Reichmarshal Hermann Goering who was a hunter, advised Hitler on humane hunting. That’s how the Nazis are related to the hunting topic-not to glorify the Nazis, but to point out the fact that for it’s time, the Germans were advanced in many ways, incl. hunting laws.
