I really think you better go back and read my first post. Then try to write a post that makes sence. From the manner in which you write, I can tell that you never spent much time on the ground in a combat zone. I spent a total of 38 months in combat for the USA.

Yes Air Force Mama, I say yes. To find out about where a danger is located is useful and correct. Some posters are adamant about any use of certain aids from ESP, I say they are not knowdgeable. If I am there on the field of action , I want all the help I can get!

In my french mind, I thought I was making sense. It is not unknown to me to be confusing…I tell you what, I will confer with Brother Ignatius on this subject for he is very experienced in these kind of things. He is well-rounded and he has his feet on the gound. He is in the deliverance ministry and would know what to answer in this dilemna. I will defer to his judgment. Is that fair? But my experience has it that, there is a difference between having a heightened level of perception and getting in touch with one such person for an answer. Like Sylvia Brown…do you agree with her?

God bless you for your courage. But it doesn’t justify getting in touch with this kind of thing. If you want ‘all the help you can get’…well, I would suggest our Lord . Dreams are nothing new to Scripture, and God speaking through them.

Basil the Great was the founder of Eastern monasticism. The Eastern Church was full of spiritual fathers, highly honoured by the people, who all regarded the dream as a revelation of God. In 415 AD one of the most interesting of these men, Synesius of Cyrene, wrote a very sophisticated book on the dream, describing as an an opening of the self to God and the spriitual world. This book has been central to Greek Orthodox thinkjng. It also explains something of the influence of the dream in Russian thought and Russian Church literature, for Russia inherited the tradition of Greek thinking.

Many of the doctors of the West placed importance on dreams too. Ambrose for example went to the emperor because he was ordered to do so in a dream. Augustine developed a complete psychological system in order to show how human beings could relate to the spiritual world. Jerome, who translated the bible into Latin, was converted from a secular scholar to a Christian one through a dream.

It was under Gregory the Great that Christians began to doubt the importance and value of dream interpretation. However, until the year 1200, there were no Christian writers or philosophers who ignored or underestimated the importance of visions or dreams.

These Church Fathers who believed in the value of the dream were the very same men who laid the foundations for belief in the trinity in the chriatian Church. Athanasius, recognized as an authority in both the East and the West, wrote of the most interesting biographies of the ancient world, The Life of St Anthony. In his other writings, as well as his story of St Anthony, it was simply assumed that god communicated with people through the dream, but that people should not boast of it. Gregory Thaumaturgus received the inspiration for his first Trinitarian creed through a dream.

If we believe that interpreting dreams is not Christian, we ought ot take a look a these historiacal facts and the great tradition of which they are a part. If we want to come to a more living faith, we need to learn how to understand what our predecessors realized.

Sorry, but he’s right, Roy. It was called “Project Aquarius.” It located ballistic missile-launching submarines belonging to the Russians 50% of the time. I am not questioning your voracity what I am questioning is your sources. My friend I do know that the government practiced disinformation with regards to Top Secret air planes and called them UFOs. I know the CIA has tried lots of strange things that have not worked. I will not say what I know about the NSA. My job for 12 years in the army was Electronic Warfare Signal Intelligence. My question is still if they have psychics that can get the information correct why would they need someone like me?

I did know of people in my line of work that were actual devil worshipers. I know when I was in the occult was not a foreign concept to everyone in the intelligence community. I would suggest to you and everyone you love stay away form the occult, necromancers, psychics and everything on that line.

I am not sure where it is in the bible but I seem to remember either Peter or Paul talking about how if the prince of lies were he to come as an angle may not be distinguishable as an evil being.

I think that the thread starter was asking a hypothetical question. Shoshona talks of a “Sylvia someone” , I never heard of Sylvia.Don’t know what she purports to do.

The question was,“I guess I see it more than if/when my husband is over there, and someone can point out the snipers before they get him, we’re saving lives (both the soldier’s and possibly the sniper’s).”

The one called “Shoshana” is worried about evil spirits I think. When you are there and it’s night time, and you are pretty scared, you will take information about the bad guys from any source. Dont know why I detected an attack, Shoshana, but I was right. You say you were “PART” of an excorcism. Was it being performed on you or were you just there standing behind the Priest? Thaat should not have happened in a Bishop-authorised excorcism, you know that dont you? There are "PRAYERS OF DELIVERENCE THE PRIEST CAN DO NOW FOR YOU! These are not prayers of excorcism but if “deliverence”. They get rid of the effects of being near a denon, not the demon…the effects.

This is important. Did you take anything home with you from that excorcism such as a handkerchief , a candle or anything? If yes, take it otside and burn it completely. This is a common way aattacks are spread from the original site of a demon. Do it!!

I have said a prayer for you this morning. Prayers are answered one way or another.

I said to burn anything you may have taken away from an excorcism. Those things can cause " infestations". Infestations can reside in a house or anything in a house. Burning those items relieves this.

Yes, I am very aware of all oft his. So is my priest. One of the priests imvolved is my own spiritual director who ‘watches’ over me. It is a well-known fact that the enemy wants all who believe in Jesus. This is just stepped up a bit when involved on the occult level.

Shoshana, This may seem weak and too late. I struggled for over two years with a relative who was not excorcised but was in and out of mental hospitals - on two occasions I saw evidence of demons. So I say to you “Thank You” for what you did, thanks for your struggle.

To have 2 Bishops approve was very unusual. It must have been a true possesion. May your Guardian Angel be ever near you. And yes the demons do not want to be near Our Lady or Jesus!

The Pope’s excorcist, Father Amorth, wrote two books on his life as an exorcist. In one,“An Excorcist Tells His Story”, he says the demon said once that he would rather be in hell that to be near Our Lady.
