Lord have mercy.
Doc, Kyrie, is this or is this not the same Jesus who went out and drank with his buddies at a wedding (and then produced more wine for them so they could keep happy hour going?)
The same Jesus who was accused of being a glutton and a drunkard, obviously because he enjoyed a good time? The same who ate and drank with prostitutes?
The same who was happy to play with children, even when they were being such pains that the dsciples wanted to get rid of them?
The same who told his disciples NOT to wear long gloomy faces even if they were fasting? The same who taught us to call God ‘Abba’ - Daddy?
Yes, I know there’s a fine line between familiarity bred by true love and true intimacy, and presumption and disrespect, but you sound like you never ever allow yourself the former for fear you’ll slip into the latter. Not only did Jesus exhibit both respect and deep and intimate familiarity in his relations with the Father, he taught US to do the same.
Lighten up!!!
