Oh believe me, I try to steer clear of politics, I consider it a major distraction from God’s commandment to love our neighbors. The definition of feminism applied here refers merely to equal rights for men and women, no feminazi politics

What do you mean by that? A lot of men define “trying to be better” as anything that takes women out of the kitchen.

I don’t think anyone is doing that. It’s just social liberals in the West who use that in order to justify their positions are some other opposition parties are more in sync not only with Catholic teaching but what works in real life.

I’m not talking about whether women ruled, but how - in response to the earlier assertion that women would be “fightier” (to coin a phrase) on the whole than men.

I say not. I say compare almost any of these female rulers (eg Cleopatra) to her male counterparts (Julius Caesar, Marc Antony and Octavian/Augustus) in terms of bloodshed and warmongering, the women are mostly very minor league. Cleopatra’s only real battles were Actium (which she ran away from) and a fight with an asp.

Of course it does. What’s more, it still wants to overthrow the Patriarchy - men. In a local publication, the head of a businesswomen’s group stated that after all these years, she was surprised that women still do not own most businesses. Apparently, equality is not the goal.

No it doesn’t, and the Patriarchy =/= male humans. I don’t see how you got “equality not being the goal” from that woman’s comment. There’s nothing un-egalitatarian about wanting more women in business.

If I had to take a guess, a man always has the same title. He is always a Mr. But a woman’s title is based on her martial status. Ms. is supposed to be “marital neutral”.

If they overreacted, can you really blame them for it? Assuming contemporary accounts are anything to go by, pre-1960s American society didn’t necessarily value women as rational, intelligent agents.

I was born in the mid-nineties, and the feminism I’ve grown up with is one that generally encourages discourse and celebrates human autonomy. Yes, the support for abortion is wrong. It’s the one thing that I and this current vision of feminism will never have in common. However, when all is said and done, I’m grateful to have been born in a generation that is able to reap the fruits of feminist activism. I embrace feminism partly because I know that those who are enamored with the Patriarchy will never see me as a fully-formed, autonomous adult, and I want such people to have as little say in my life as possible.

The difference being that gender roles are taught by holy mother church. Child sacrifice is not.

And why do you think 95% of the prison population is male in every country in the world? Is it just a consequence of evil traditional gender roles?
