Is marching in a gay pride parade sinful?

Nothing “unintentional” about it.

Oh, of course. My apologies. I didn’t realize this board had omniscient posters. My bad.

So Catholics must no longer patronize florists, interior decorators, hairdressers, airlines that have male flight attendants, art galleries, etc.?
I find this post offensive, not all gay guys are stereotypes, I know I am not.

Imagine if a homosexual marched in a Catholic parade.
If the homosexual was not ‘active’ in that lifestyle but living a chaste and spiritual life it would be a most wonderful thing to see, indeed.

Unless we are uquipped with “gaydar” like Sweeny is we wouldnt know if a Homosexual marched in a Catholic parade.

You find Catholics talking about Catholicism on a Catholic message board offensive?

When one marches in a homosexaul pride parade they are supporting homosexual behavior. When one goes into a florist they are generally buying flowers, But then you know this-your posts are the usual attempt to dreail the thread.
How about intolerant, judgemental, un-Christian behaviour, Bob?

I could let you folks know when and where the Phelps’ are picketing here, in case any of you would like to join in.

I haven’t read one single “intolerant”, “judgemental”, “un-Christian” remark on this thread.
However, I HAVE read a few overly-sarcastic, evasive and ambiguously defensively ones - namely from you, Sweeney.

**The Catholics posters here have merely stated the Church’s position on homosexual behavior and the endorsement of that lifestyle. **
If you disagree with that position, simply say so - but don’t attack somebody for being loyal to their Catholic beliefs.

No, just the obsessive homophobia, Jimbo.

Doesn’t that mean “fear of homosexuality”? I’m not any more afraid of homosexuality than I am of any other disorder. Am I supposed to be afraid of it? Why? Is it catching?

I find a lot of Catholic teachings offensive. But I find many many religions offensive since they say I’m immoral and sinful. However I’m not going to attack someone or say I’m offended for someones beliefs, even if I am offended, I have no right to tell someone what to believe.

But when you make a completely unreligious homophobic hit on homosexuals then I am offended, and will state so.

If you have EVER read the definition of homophobia you will see that homophobia is a fear OR hate of homosexuals.

If Catholics couldn’t patronize places that employeed sinners, we’d all be in trouble!

**Buying something from a place that has an employee who happens to have homosexual tendencies (which I am assuming you meant by all the above) is not wrong. You wouldn’t ask a clerk “Before I buy this, have you ever had pre-marital sex? Used contraceptives? Bought pornography?” **Just buying something from someone who committs immoral sexual acts is not supporting their sins, unless the item is used for sin (a dirty magazine, a “Proud to be gay” bumper sticker, etc).

Marching in a gay pride parade is supporting a sin, though. You are not supporting people with homosexual attractions as children of God, but celebrating and defending their sin. This is not loving or helpful for people struggling with homosexuality.

❤️
Shoot. I guess I better stop doing that. You forgot, “are you now, or have you ever been a card-carrying member of the Communist Party?” 😉

I agree with your post completely. As the Catechism says, “Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided.” Not buying something because the individual is struggling with SSA would be a form of discrimination. However, should not support the normalizing of Gay relationships.

Then a Catholic would not fit this description as we love the sinner, but hate the act (sin).

I haven’t seen any hatred.

I have seen lots of paranoia about homophobia.

It’s not pretty.

Not all Catholics are as “loving” as you despite what they may say.

We were just saying that the message he said was homophobic, which it was.

I apologize - it was not a homophobic hit but a sarcastic broad example of the intolerance so prevalant here.
