I have heard this, particularly in the Song of Songs.
If you asked my college professor who wrote “Was Jesus a Muslim,” then yes.
If you ask any other historian or theologian worth his salt, then no.

And Mohammed certainly wasn’t mentioned in the Song of Songs, which is all about… well, that thing married people do.

Most of the biblical scholars I know, and I’m a professor of Christology and Moral Theology, say it is Christ’s love song to his Church, though it does sound a bit graphic at times.

Apparently, we are both correct:

And I agree, Mohammad was not mentioned. 👍

JESUS is foretold in the Bible, that is, the Old Testament. I suggest that anyone who sees Mohammed instead, should be fitted for a straitjacket.

only when Jesus warns of people that were coming that would lead other astray…

Some Muslims point to Deuteronomy 18:15 as referring to Muhammad. I think most Christians see this passage as referring to Jesus as it says that the prophet is said to be from among the Israelites.

Hi OP. 🙂 Islam was not invented in pre-Christian Biblical times.

I think he might have been foretold, prophesied, in the NT as one of many diversions to come. But can’t say categorically though I’d imagine he was included in that sentence. Apart from on that occasion, no.

Yes - Yes - Yes 😃

The Old Testament and the New Testament cover the Revelation of Muhammad 100% accurately.

The Prophesy of Times Times and Half a Time or 3 @ 1/2 years or 42 months or one thousand two hundred and 3 score days or 1260 days all refer to the Dispensation of Muhammad. There are many more passages that show the Revelation of Muhammad would be given to mankind before the promised End Times

This is an amazing fact that is only just becoming realized! If you want to know further please ask and I will post in this thread.

Regards Tony

Lay it all out man. We’re all eyes on this. But I guess even God didn’t want to use the M word. Just in case things got a bit pushy. So He left that totally out of the things He thought most important.

But really. Let us know what you’ve got. I’m curious as all get out.

Peace Tony.

Dear Trident - It is worth noting the Old Testament did not Show the Name of Jesus Plainly for all to see 😉 Also many Old Testament Prophesy remains unfulfilled by Jesus and His Revelation. It took Souls that were detached from the implied meaning of scripture back 2000 + years ago to accept Jesus. Of course today the Glory and meaning is apparent to most, but still not to all.

So what I will post from will have the same reaction! 👍 Impossible to tell this story in such a short post, thus a snippet.

The short explanation from this link is;

Revelation 11 Tells the story of Muhammad and the Religion that was born from His Revelation. Verse 3 and others gives the duration of the revelation with 100% accuracy.

1260 Days in Biblical Prophesy is 1260 Years, many Biblical Scholars have determined this.

“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth”.

“These two witnesses are Muḥammad the Messenger of God, and ‘Alí, son of Abú Tálib”

Verses 9,10 and 11 tell you the fate of the Muslim religion because its rejection.

The religion of Muhammad has a Lunar Calendar the Christan a Solar Calendar. There is volumes of information as to expected Dates of the Return of Christ and many Faiths of Christ started from this expectation. A popular Date was 1844, but what was not and still is not commonly known is that 1260AH has a corresponding date in the Christian Calendar and that date was 1844.

1844 witnessed the Declaration of a New Faith of God, thus the Religion of Muhammad did indeed last exactly 1260 years and terminated at verse 14 with “The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly”.
.
Verse 18 tells the result of the rejection of God again.

If one reads the link it tells the story through the verses of Revelation 11.**

God Bless and Regards Tony.

HI! 🙂 Who is your authority on this teaching, please?

HI! 🙂 Who is your authority on this teaching, please?
Firstly I would say God through Jesus the Christ as it is the Eternal Word as recorded in the Bible.

Then This Can be answered with Another Prophesy from the Old Testament, a prophesy that Shows Prophets names are in the Bible, but it is us to look with eyes that see.

Ezekiel 43:1 Then the man brought me to the gate facing east, 2 and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory. 3 The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when he[a] came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. 4 The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. 5 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

Thus the Authority is “The Glory of the Lord”

The Termination of the Muslim Religion after 1260 Years was fulfilled by the appearance of the “Gate” on May 23rd 1844,which then paved the way for “The glory of the Lord” (who then) entered the temple through the gate facing east.

This shows how Bible Prophesy is fulfilled by God the Way God so chooses. That it is enshrined within the Word of God and it is up to mankind to consider this “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Bab means in English translates as “Gate”
Baha’u’llah in English translates as “The glory of the Lord”

The meaning of a lot of Daniel and then Revelation takes on amazing clarification if we Include the Revelation of Muhammad, the Bab and Baha’u’llah.

There is no need to go into the years of study and material available on this subject.

One either wishes to look, or one is happy to continue on their path in the Love of God they now hold dearly to, either way it is God that guides us all in the eagerness of our search for His Love.

I must say if one does take a look, it is amazing! 😉

God Bless all and regards Tony

HI! 🙂 Who is your authority on this teaching, please?
Dear friardchips - This also needs some study of Biblical expectations of the 1800’s. The events after Muhammad are also important for one to see what happened Biblically as a whole.

What must be said is that the expectation of the year 1844 was not instigated by the Baha’is. Please consider it started well before the revelations of the Bab and Baha’u’llah. It started back in the 600’s with the rejection of Muhammad by mankind and then the rebellion of His Followers on His deathbed that resulted in His Religion being clothed in Sackcloth.

It was in the early 1800’s that the expectation for 1844 was first realized by Biblical Scholars of that time.

One was William Miller which resulted in the Starting of the SDA Church (Interestingly church started in 1863, the year that Baha’u’llah also declared His Mission). Many more stemmed from the “Great Disappointment”, including the Jehovah Witnesses who had also based of their belief starting with 1844. Miller had expected Christs Return from May 1843 to May 1844. When they did not see it, they tehn put up April 1844, when again it was not seen they went for Oct 1844. Then it was the Great Disappointment. They did not consider that it may have been like a “Thief in the Night”.

They came to this conclusion not using the 1260 Prophesy, they used the dates of Daniel Prophesy of 457BC and the 2300Days (Years) to come to a date between 1843 & 1844.

What they did not know at the time and still not have considered to this day is that 1844AD was also the year 1260AH, which now brings a lot more events in history into play.

There are many reports of the expectation of the time, many sold houses some moved to the Holy land (German Templers). All thought it would be an obvious event and when no obvious event was seen, no one looked at an alternative.

What we need to consider is that is there a message in this event that transpired The day after the Declaration of the Bab (Gate)

Samuel F.B. Morse Sent the First Telegraphic Message May 24, 1844

What was the first telegraph message? Sent by inventor Samuel F.B. Morse on May 24, 1844, over an experimental line from Washington, D.C., to Baltimore, the message said: “What hath God wrought?” Taken from the Bible, Numbers 23:23, and recorded on a paper tape, the phrase had been suggested to Morse by Annie Ellsworth, the young daughter of a friend. The success of the experiment would change forever the national communication system. But Morse wasn’t just interested in the telegraph.

Thus when we Look for and find the Revelation of Muhammad in the Bible, we must also consider that the Word of God also included the other great Announcements from God as Well. If we do we can see through a Different “Frame of Reference”.

I think this is where I will finish my discussion on this subject as ample has been given if one wishes to look further.

God bless all and regards Tony

Thank you, TonyBS. 🙂 It sounds really interesting and I’m not denying anything as my knowledge is surely limited in some areas maybe more than others…

What I meant by “whose authority” was in regard of such statements as this:

‘The Termination of the Muslim Religion after 1260 Years was fulfilled by the appearance of the “Gate” on May 23rd 1844,which then paved the way for…’
  • where do these dates and figures come from?
And are your “Revelations of Muhammad” from the Koran, and if so, are you in effect relating the Koran to Bible passages? Just to get an idea of where we are. Sorry for my current inertia.

Thanks again.

(oops, adding this edit as I’ve just seen your last post, so anything I just asked that you’ve answered in last post, please excuse).

So, TonyBS, what you are claiming from all this, going by some scholars from the 1800s, is that Muhammad was in the OT, and that he did have a religion that reached its end point, and though not described as being explicitly so in the Bible, it is the case nonetheless, due to dates in the OT that appear to correlate with certain details in the Koran? Just trying to clarify for myself more than anything that I’m getting your point. 🤓🙂

Yes, I believe he is. Deuteronomy 18 and Isaiah 42 are some examples.

I thought to ask you to post the lines of Scripture in support of such claims but then realised it was possibly a bad idea to encourage you in using the Creator’s name in vain. 😉
