When I go to Confession one of my Priests tell me to sit in the Tabernacle and just meditate before God. After Confession is this penance adequate?

Penances are often something concrete, so that we can objectively know we’ve performed it, but I’ve had a priest give me something more vague before as well. He was probably nervous to ask the priest, or thought about it in retrospect, so he turned to the incredibly handsome people on CAF to answer the question, so he can be referred back to his priest-confessor.I am just wondering why you think it might be inadequate (you must have some reason), and why asking a bunch of anonymous people on an internet forum, however charming, intelligent, knowledgeable and good looking as we undoubtedly are, is preferable to discussing it with your priest, who knows your situation in detail and thought this was just the right thing for you.
