The answer to this question is simple.

In places where marijuana use is illegal it is sinful to use.

This is what the Church Teaches. All Catholics are bound to follow the laws of where they live unless the law is morally evil. Drug laws are not morally evil.
And that my dear brother…Is debatable. Why do they have these laws written the way they are? Hmmmmm? 😃 Asset forfiture, which denies due process. Immoral, and unconstitutional. 😦

Not to mention the BILLIONS of dollars spent to bust and incarcerate small-time marijuana offenders. I once saw a show about an undercover cop who HATED his job because he said these guys are the nicest, most harmless people you could ever hope to meet and he felt guilty sending them to prison or 10-20 years on marijuana offenses.

Please read this, I smoked marijuana for 2 years, it started off slowly and I began to grow more and more dependant on it, and less dependant on Jesus. Throughout smoking marijuana I felt like there was always a fine line seperating me from Jesus, even when I went to church, even when I did God’s will, I felt like there was something missing in my soul. During the last few months that I smoked marijuana I was smoking the “best” dro, kush, sour diesel, you name it. It was so easy for me to get my hands on but I would have to smoke 4 times a day just to feel “normal”. I gravely missed the feeling of being sober and prayed to God to help me find a way out. One night while I was stoned I opened the bible and began reading, the verses I am about to say made me think of my life on marijuana and why I don’t think it is considered, even though it has seed, a graceful herb bearing plant. If might not mean anything to you but consider it.

Genesis 3:3- But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shal ye touch it, lest ye die.

Genesis 3:4- And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Genesis 3:5- For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Genesis 3:6- And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that is was PLEASANT to the eyes, and a tree to be DESIRED to make ONE WISE, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat…

This is how I feel God spoke to me about the subject, because the words I capitalized are the ones that really jumped out at me. Through many times of falling and trying to justify it I finally stopped smoking marijuana, and have been much happier with my life since, God has a better plan for you and for everyone.

I am sure that the tree could represent anything in someone’s life but that is what it means to me.

Whether debatable, or not, disobeying a legitimate non-immoral law is a sin. No ifs, ands or buts.

Forfeiture of the gains from a criminal enterprise are not immoral or unconstitutional.

Please stop stating your opinions as fact.

Show where the Church Teaches that forfeiture of the gains from a criminal enterprise are immoral and a court ruling that they are unconstitutional.

This only answers half the question…
Really? Because this is the question in the OP.
If so, is it because it is illegal? Because from what I know, marijuana is no less healthy than smoking a cigarette or eating a big, greasy McDonlads hamburger!
Yes, it is sinful because it is illegal.

The rest of the OP is a statement not a question. Really it is an attempt at rationalization to break the laws and commit a sin.

Addiction to repeated pleasure stimulation of the brain is slavery. Spending money on drugs while voting for others to pay for one’s healthcare is stealing and sinful.
