Is the Pope in danger?

Where are they? For a long time even after 9/11, I believed that there must be peaceful Muslims in the world that did not share the beliefs of the extremists, but now I wonder. I really wonder.
A peaceful Muslim is NOT a muslim who follows the Koran. That’s all there is to it.

I read the Koran every day. The thing is ALL violence, with a tiny sprinkling of nice-sounding ayah thrown in to fool the stupid infidels with.

Yes, our Holy Father IS in danger, but he also has the ultimate protection of God.

We live in very interesting times, my friend.

This is misleading.

Hamas hasn’t condemned the violence although they have urged restraint.
So right you are. What the Muslims put out in English for we Infidels is VERY DIFFERENT from what they put out in Arabic for their froth-mouthed masses.

What they put out for our consumption is called Taqquiya (the Islamic “virtue” of lying to weaken the Infidel).

Yes, of course the pope is in danger.

JPll was in danger when a Muslim shot him in St. Peter’s Square, in 1981.

He was also in danger when Ramzi Yousef and other Al Quaeda operatives planned to kill him in 1995 in the Phillipines (while also planning to blow up a dozen planes across the Pacific).

This was what they were going to do to JP who was supposedly such a friend to them!

And so now every Catholic is in danger any time he/she enters a Catholic church. Pity the poor nun in Africa and the father who was shot in the back while praying in church in Turkey.

Islam is as Islam does.

Islamists at Westminster Cathedral

Worshippers coming out of services at London’s Westminster Cathedral today were greeted by a gang of Islamists, reports Joee Blogs - a Catholic Londoner.
As we came out about 100 Islamists were chanting slogans such as “Pope Benedict go to Hell,” “Pope Benedict you will pay, the Muja Hadeen are coming your way,” “Pope Benedict watch your back,” and other hateful things.

You are correct in the political sense. Yasser Arafat was a good example of this. It has nothing to do with Islam, however. This was a political tactic.

Have you ever travelled to the Muslim world? What about the millions of moderate and peaceful Muslims throughout the world, including the United States? Your comments are generalizations and stereotypes.

The problem I have with this analogy is simple.

If the shoe was on the other foot, and I saw my brothers in Christ doing evil and responding to things with hate like this-

I would speak up. Loudly.

These “peacefull” millions of moderate Muslims are quiet as a peep.

Now, for the deeper discussion. Is this indicitive of Islam in the UK, or is it representative of a fringe group within their nation? (I’m not speaking worldwide now, but just the UK.) Here’s some examples from our own Christian nation…

In a political sense? Nonsense. The Arab world gets its propensity for lying from Islam itself.
Have you ever travelled to the Muslim world?
Nonsequiter. Nonargument. Argmentum ad hominem at best, sir. Appartnetly you don’t teach logic at your college. To you teach in Pakistan?

Another nonargument. The Throatslitters of Peace need the support of your beloved “moderate Muslims” and they have it in spades.

“An appeaser is one who feeds his friends to the alligators, hoping to be eaten last.”

Ibehki Arabi, wa enta?

Rolltide,
  1. They aren’t killing anyone
  2. There are not 1.3 or more million of them, i.e., Westboro Baptists (in fact there is really only 1 family of them)
  3. Why are you trying to change the subject?
  4. Why are you defending terrorists?

  1. No, this particular group is not.
  2. Yes, but there are dozens of other crazy groups. What about the Branch Davidians. Jim Jones killed almost 1000 people in Suriname. How about Warren Jeffs? Would you like to be the one that tries to investigate their compound? How non-violent do you think it would be? And if you added up all of the cults and crazy groups worldwide, you would get a decent number I would bet.
  3. I’m not. I’m trying to provide some balance and perspective. Generalizations and stereotypes are extremely damaging and lead to violence.
  4. I am in NO WAY defending terrorists. They should all be brought to justice! In fact, I am currently speaking out about the oncoming threat of Islamic terrorism in Africa.

No. Any historical investigation from anyone reasonably informed will quickly find that untrue.

**Actually, we do teach logic! 🙂 In my department even! You might even be suprised to know that our entire department, save one, is Catholic.

Nope, never been to Pakistan. I have known quite a few, though. Only one was anything approaching radical. I have spent a great deal of time in Morocco and Turkey however. **

So, is this the majority opinion of American Muslims, would you say?

Ok… anyway… so to get the post back on track…

Yes, the pope probably is at a slightly increased risk of danger. Vatican security was greatly tightened today, even going so far as to confiscate water bottles and umbrellas. How this will affect the upcoming trip to Turkey, I don’t know. The Turkish government no longer wishes the trip to be cancelled.

Rolltide,

Instead of hearing you try to change the subject, we should be hearing condemnation of violent Jihad and violence to promulgate the faith over and over again.

Jim Jones killed almost 1000 people in Suriname.
Not a Christian. Any historical investigation from anyone reasonably informed will quickly find your insinuation to be nonsense.

LOL! Sure, sahibi. Taqqiya works better if those poor infidels fail to recognize its source. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

I have again and again posted several links to people throughout the world condemning the violence. I will do so again if you choose.

Okay, I am still greatly worried about the Pope. He did not do anything, he just voiced out his opinion. I am pretty sure that Allah is anything but happy about the innocent blood that has been spilled. These radicals who claim to be doing these things in the name of Allah have got it all wrong. They are killing Allah’s creation, they are destroying people who have been made in Allah’s image.

I tell you if we and these people do not repent of the blood of which they pour out, we will be in trouble when the Son of God comes in glory.

I am glad you have tried to console me, but no matter what type of security you have, there is always a way for somebody to slip in. I hope these people repent of their sins of murder, and come to realize Jesus as more than a prophet as in today reading at Mass.🙂

How could ALLAH be unhappy? There in NO ALLAH!

In your first paragraph you say Allah will be unhappy. Now you mention The Son of God. If there is a Son of God there can be no Allah.

Yes there is. Allah is simply an Arabic word for “God.” So I conclude that there is a God.

After reading my first quote you can guess that the Son of God is God’s Son. Allah, is an Arabic word for God.

I would thank you to use a capital P when spelling Pope please.
