Is Trump presidency good for Catholics?

Why are you ignoring my explicit and relevant point.

What matters with a leader is how they respond to issues or crisis that comes their way. Trump is actually responding as a manager while Obama repeatedly took no action.

Who’s facing charges of conspiracy against the Govt? Link please, I’ve only read about charges of conspiracy to launder money, from before the campaign.

What exactly is your explicit and relevant point that you think I am ignoring?

I would disagree. Hiring criminals is generally considered a scandal. After all, US Grant’s administration was considered quite scandalous even though Grant himself was an honorable man. His fault was he trusted bad people.

And, again, I point to Mnuchin, who is abusing the taxpayer.

Paul Manafort. See, for example, http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/paul-manafort-russia-investigation-surrender/index.html

the conspiracy charges are from before the campaign
which is kind of irrelevant to the point that Trump hired someone that would be charged with conspiracy against the United States and that is a scandal in its own right.

No it’s not. Also the charges are for something that is normally overlooked, but they needed a win (and leverage) so charges were filed. We are still waiting for something serious to emerge.

Sure it is. Whether or not you like it, a president is judged on the people he surrounds himself with and hires for key positions within the administration. Manafort is a major scandal for Trump.

I’m pretty sure that being charged with conspiracy against the United States is something serious, so I’m not sure what you are waiting to emerge that would be considered ‘serious’.

History will judge him by his results, not how many jaywalking citations his staff has received.

If the worst thing Trump & his staff did was jaywalk, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Sometimes it is about the same. Depends on what he said to the FBI and if he’s convicted.

If I told the FBI I got home at 5pm but it was 6pm, I could be charged with conspiracy

I’m pretty sure he isn’t being charged with a failure to read his watch correctly. Why are you trying so hard to minimize what happened before his day in court?

Probably because you are making it overly dramatic, balance
I don’t know how I am making “conspiracy against the United States” over dramatic. It seems pretty serious based on the name of it.

Yup, not telling the FBI the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Make an intentional or accidental mistake and they’ve got you on Conspiracy.

I guess we’ll see what happens in the court case then, but a member of the president’s close team of advisors accused of such a crime is a scandal unless he is found not guilty.

It also depends on the specifics

I did not vote for Trump and I never liked him but I was a little concerned about his slurs toward the end of that Israeli speech he gave. He was struggling. I slur sometimes but I’m undergoing some speech therapy for that.

The WH gave no real answer except to say he will be undergoing a physical early next year. I’m surprised it isn’t immediate.
