The Iraqi government was only willing to allow Obama to keep troops in Iraq under Iraqi law.
This means, US soldiers would be tried in an Iraqi court for a traffic ticket.
Obama was right to get out of Iraq and we need to get out of the ME altogether.
They hate us to the core and we can not be their police.

The Iraqi government was negotiating with the Obama government for a status of forces agreement. The U.S. military recommended leaving some 27,000 troops in Iraq and Maliki was okay with that. Obama wouldn’t do that. Ultimately, Maliki demanded a minimum of 10,000. Obama wouldn’t do that, offering a manifestly inadequate 3,000 that the Iraqi parliament wouldn’t endorse either. At that point, Maliki stopped negotiating. We have about 3,000 there now, and it isn’t doing a whole lot of good, is it? Maliki knew that. Our military knew that. Obama knew that. But Obama touted himself as the “anti-Bush” and promised that he would leave Iraq. So he did.
The Iraqi tribal leaders, the Kurds and the Sistani Shia all asked us to stay, so they couldn’t have hated us all that much. Remember those “Thank you, America” ads the Kurds ran on American TV? I’ll bet they’re not thanking us now.
Never fear, Obama is withdrawing from the Middle EAst, and will do so entirely if he can before his term ends. Then, Iran and Sunni radicals can extend their war to the emirates, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
