That is good dzhereme. Youhave given some quotation. B W has lost argument against hamba by taking shelter under circular logic. BW does not realise that the Quran at least says “We have revealed the reminder (Quran) and we are its protectors.” It means that Allah has revealed the Quran and He will guard it against corruption.
But the BW bible does not even claim a similar word. So, we say that since God did not promise to guard the words of the bible so He did not cause things to happen in the safety of bible.
What? Is
that the point I was making? I don’t think so. I don’t think you really read my post.
But you dzhereme have given somethings from Isaiah. That is OT and it may be about the OT only. It does not apply to your bibleNT. The words are good, anyhow.
It most certainly does apply to the OT and the NT. Forever means forever. That was the entire point of my post.
Please remember, the matter is not only about.safety of the words of Quran. It has to be seen in a very range of activity. Did Muhammad know that his religion will spread all ove rthe world?? If he knew then please tell me “How did he know?” Because that is what has happened. You sometime ask for miracles. I tell you that the spread of Islam is also written in the Quran, long before it happened.
A bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, don’t you think? That’s a bit like if I wrote a book about how I was going to have lunch after I’m done with this post. Now, watch as I “miraculously” confirm it by heading into the kitchen…ya Allah!
Now come to the next point. As Muhammad got the words of Wahi (revelation), he informed his friends that Allah has sent some words to him. He memorised those words and got them committed to writing by the scribes. In that way, every word was written down.
Even the stuff that was later taken out, like the satanic verses, or the material referenced in St. John Damascene’s critique of Islam that is not found in modern Qur’ans? I guess every word being written down does not exactly equate to every word being preserved.
It was also memorised. The words of Quran were recited openly in the five daily prayers five times a day.
And the Bible is recited many more times a day in monasteries, convents, churches, and private homes throughout the world. By your logic, this means the Bible is not corrupted. Thank you for finally fessing up to this fact.
Muhammad had the guidance. He used to pray in a certain direction and that is what he told all his followers. In the early 14 years, he used to pray to Allah facing Jerusalem, because the leadership of all mankind was with the Jews. Later when Allah ordered Muhammad to face the Ka’abah at Makkah for all prayers, he followed that order.
By “when Allah ordered Muhammad”, I assume you mean “after it became clear that the Jews utterly rejected him and supposed prophethood, when he took his ball and went home”.
Why was that?? Did he know that his religion will spread all over the world and prayer houses (Mosques) will be build every where and they will need a direction. How did he know that?? If he had not guided us under divine command, there would be chaos in all places.
Yeahhh…it’s a good thing we don’t see any chaos anywhere in the Muslim world…what a clear sign…
Please rememebr that it was all under divine guidance. Nothing from personal interest of Muhammad.
Bull! And not of the kind preceded by “Papal”, either!
Have you ever seen any grand book in the word which read extensively but nobody claims to be its author. If Muhammad ha dmade the Quran, he could have claimed its authership.
I don’t know whether Muhammad personally authored the Qur’an or not. This is immaterial.
Remember that each and every word of the Quran is revealed by Allah on the heart of Muhammad and Allah undertook to protect the Quran.
Not only am I not going to remember it, I’m not going to believe it, either. Ever. So you can stop trying to convert me now, please.
That was by its immediate writing, memorising, recitation in five daily prayers… None of these things was done in the life time of Jesus. But we Muslims give due credit to your bibleNT.
This is a lie. Traditional Christian prayer is SEVEN TIMES a day. This is rooted in traditional Jewish practice (as the early followers of Christ were of Jewish background), and has been continued from the beginning of Christianity up to the current day. We pray the hours, rooted deeply in the call to prayer found in the Psalms. This is an integral part of the Christian faith. They were absolutely prayed in Jesus’ time.
Check the video by the Egyptian monks in my signature. “Seven times every day I will praise your name” is not an empty phrase. It is integral to the prayer life of the church.
