R_not, of course not. It’s okay when its muslims killing, persecuting, raping, slaughtering other muslims. Doh. Just not when it’s non-muslims defending themselves from the muslim aggressors.
I guess you can tell I am sick and tired of their hypocracy. Oh, I forget - it isn’t hypocracy - they are told it is ok to do those things are obey when they are taught to hate - so they are doing it for some pagan moon god. 🤷

I pray that Muslims find the Way. I pray that Jesus Christ will reache out to them and draw them to him.

How is what the sharia law dictates compatible with the mercy and love of Jesus? Stoning of adulterers in the Sharia is thrown into sharp and cruel relief when viewed against Jesus’ injunction that let those of you who have no sin cast the first stone.

A God who has revealed himself as someone I can love and call father, who loves me back, is undoubtedly better than one who demands obedience at all costs, even to the point of destruction of his own creations in an effort to spread a religion.

Come to know Jesus all you muslims. I pray that you will. Your lives are not pre-destined. You are not slaves to an impersonal diety. Religion and reason are not incompatible. If you honestly search, you will find truth in Christ. God cares only about the state of your heart, not what you wear, not how you cover yourself, not what you eat, or how you attend to your toilet functions.

The perfect man was God who became man in Jesus. Muhammad was nowhere close in his behavior, person or habits. I don’t think there can be any arguments about that.

Peace be with and you and i hope you will take the step to find truth and love in Christ.

Wow, what a powerful message thank you for reminding us of what’s really important here. Amen to that!

You are taking a lenient view of the crime of adultry. It won’t suit you or any one. Jesus did the right thing. He had no authority to stone any one to death. he was a Jew and the right punishment was stoning to death. But he could never pronounce that punishment because of the Roman Rule.

The Jewish leaders were trying to trap him into something. They had many other similar questions to trap Jesus, such as paying tax to Caesar or doing work during Sabath. This case of adultry was also similar, just to try and trap Jesus and to put him into some trouble. Please try to understand.

He did well by saying that the right punishment is stoning to death and the culprit should be stoned. But let the first stone be thrown by a one who has never been an adulterer. That was a good way to avoid any problem. It did not change the punishment of adultery. Do you feel that Jesus forbade any one from stoning? Not at all.

A God who has revealed himself… How come??. God has been revealing himself since ages, since the time of Adam and Noah and Abraham and Moses… God has been revealing Himself through His messages to all the nations of the world through His messengers / prophets. Please admit that or deny it. Then proceed with your theology.

You have a different religion and knowledge about God. Different to what was well known from time immemorial. God punished the many people in the world, the same God punished the people in the time of Noah and in the time of Abraham (See the punishment to the people of Lot, mentioned in the bibleOT).

You are now inventing a new type of loving God. It is not understandable, believable. God is the same, the only One for ages.

You are mistaken about many things. We Muslims know more about Jesus and his mother. We know the original religion as it was for the Jews. jesus being a staunch jew did not utter even a word against the law of Moses because he was a messenger for the people of Israel only and under the command of his Superior, senior prophet, i.e Moses a.s.

Can you walk naked on the street with very good intentions in your heart. Surely not. So there has to be a dividing line between the good intentions and their practical manifestations.

I want toknow that if you have the good intentions in your heart then why do you go to the church every Sunday?? What for?? What is the need?? You have some reason for that?

Now you are blaming the Muslims for their more regular daily prayers while you allow yourself less prayer. Why are you upset about the Muslims daily prayer? You do not like the mode of Muslims prayers. But you like your own Sunday church service. Why? Why pray at all, according to your principle of good heart intentions??

Thank you for your good wishes. Jesus is no God. He is simply a man, no more, but he is the best of men, a messenger and a prophet of God. That is all. No More. But you may believe whatever you like. When you invite us to Jesus then you know our stand about him.

No need to compare Muhammad with Jesus as long as Jesus is your God. The other day, some one brought some interesting news i.e. “Jesus is God. God is not Jesus.” What a funny way of saying things. Quite a puzzle every where.

Muhammad is a man and a messenger and servant of God. No more than that. And I hope that is enough for any man. .

planten, neither did mohammed have the power to say who should be stoned and who should not be stoned. It was a group of followers who decided they wanted to obey this megalomaniac and continue do such things.

Jesus certainly asserted Himself and stopped a stoning which should tell you that people did indeed listen to Him. They did not just delay the stoning until later, or continue to persecute her - they stopped altogether.

And what did mohammed do? He persecuted people if they didn’t give him all their loot. He had a poetess with children assasinated because he didn’t like her. He had an old man over 100 yrs old assasinated. He told people to stone so many over the same sorts of behavior that he was guilty of himself.

Your prophet was a poor example of a man, let alone a prophet.

There are so many hadiths about mohammed ordering stonings for others sexual conduct that it is hard to list them all. From what I could find there were over 30 times that mohammed called for stonings of people who had sex. And mohammed himself lusted and had sexual relations with his stepson’s wife which in itself is disgusting.

mohammed ordered stoning to death - many go into sexual conduct - it seems that mohammed should have been stoned!!!

You keep defending the indefensible. And putting facts in a way that make mohammed sound as if he was a good guy - he was not! He would take woman right after he had just slayed their husbands, fathers, brothers and sons. He would take their children if they didn’t have hair and enslave them and let them be passed around as booty and rape them. This is not the behavior of a good man.

Stop telling lies and misinterpreting our Scriptures to suit your agenda! Jesus very effectively stopped the adulterous woman from being stoned by stating that those who were** without sin **should cast the first stone! None of us is without sin. Do you get it now?

Of course Muslims don’t like the idea of a loving God who loves everyone! You’re bloodthirsty and fanatical!

Unlike your mullahs and imams, we don’t preach hatred in our churches.

I don’t think that Muslims have the right to make demands for footbaths and their prayers and make a lot of bother for everyone else. If they want to do all that, they can move to an Islamic paradise! Islam and democracy cannot coexist.

Ex-Muslim Nonie Darwish:
It is very important that we separate the law of Islam from the religion of Islam. You see, a religion is private. When a minority comes to a country, they have a relationship with their god. The minute they begin to enforce a law on that country, that act goes into the realm of politics. It goes into the realm of the law of the land. That also violates our separation of church and state, the separation of mosque and state. The West doesn’t understand that under Shariah law, there is no separation of mosque and state. The mosque is the state and the state is the mosque. The West which prides itself on freedom and democracy, freedom of speech, equal rights for women and minorities, they have to understand that this is not a religious right. Muslims will say you are depriving them of their religious rights. No, you are not. This is political Islam. It has nothing to do with a personal relationship with God. It is about trying to control the country which they have immigrated to. America has fought so hard for women’s rights – are we going to start honor killings? There was an honor killing of two beautiful young girls in Texas by their father who was from Egypt, a taxi driver. He was not caught because he left the country. There are so many horrible laws. We must never think this is a religion because the duty of a religion is to protect you with rights. A religion doesn’t discriminate and torture and that is a violation of your rights, a violation of church and state.

** Exactly! How does he know how many times a day Christians pray or whn we go to church he doesn’t know that! No the difference between our prayers and their prayers is that they have to recite a number of passages in the Koran at specified times in a specified matter and they have to cleanse themselves before they can even pray. After all that Muslims aren’t even sure whether or not they will get into heaven because it’s based on predestination and whether or not your good deeds outweigh your bad ones.
Christians don’t have to go through all of these things before we can pray we can pray to God anytime we want without having to do anything before hand. We know we are forgiven and we don’t have to wait for the day of judgment to find out whether or not we’ve been forgiven. What! Muslims of Jesus better than we do no Mohammed was just a man Jesus is our Lord and Savior!
The more I learn about Islam and especially Mohammed the more grateful I am to God and Jesus for staring me away and not allowing me to convert to Islam. I’m just so glad that he put someone in my life who led me to the Catholic Church.**

It appears here that Planten (I’m assuming it was Planten here) is saying that Muslims pray more regularly because they make a show of it and put so many rigid regulations on how it is to be done.

Muslims should not assume anything about the regularity and quantity of prayers Christians are doing, as we can do so without anyone being aware we are.

We have morning prayer, meal prayers and evening prayers. And of course, just praying. Of course, we don’t have these set to a “time” nor do we have to observe artificial ritual behaviour to prove we are praying.

Islam is all show and no substance. I’ll take the substance over show.

Preach the Gospel every day - sometimes use words (St. Francis). We are to LIVE the Gospel, not put on a performance.

Yes, it was Planten. “I’ll take the substance over show.” I like that!👍 :yup:

they sometimes do the show in our lands (dar al harb) when they think it will show us how ‘holy’ they are. Basically, it is all a show.

I saw one guy near a Safeway (in California) doing his bowing and stuff - right next to the place where the cars go in and out. Talk about an obnoxious display. That is the day my niece and nephew found out about how islam says that it is ok to kill, torture, enslave, loot, rape, etc us - it is all in their texts to deceive us, etc.

What better time to instruct our youth on what islam is all about.

Speaking of education, I needed a ton of education about Islam. I used to fall for the misconceptions and I used to defend Islam. Just ask Vickie how bad I used to be. But thank goodness she and many other people teach me about the real Islam. Just to give you an idea how bad I used to be one of my first questions on this forum was asking if it was all right for a Christian woman to wear hijab! I’m not kidding. Thank goodness for education and people to teach me about the real Islam.

Well, Vickie certainly is a bright gal. And whatever she said to get you to look further into islam - good for her!! :clapping:

I think that is all most of us are asking people to do - is read for yourselves. Most of us supply websites and references. I used to provide more books to read, but it seems that people prefer websites so I just give the ones that I peruse. I have read a godzillion books and still have some lined up, especially a couple I bought going into the Nazi/islam ties.

While we thought we stamped out Nazism, or most of it - what we did was scatter the muslims that helped Hitler, the SS, etc about and they went to Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. And that is what Europe is full of now - well, so is Africa and the rest of the area, along with Southeast Asia and even in our own lands.

Al Husseini could probably be called the ‘father’ of this current radicalization. Hitler and him started the holocaust and it really didn’t stop with Hitler’s death, it seems. The books are giving me a different viewpoint - it seems the holocaust is still going on - the killing of Jews. The killing of Christians, and Hindus, and Buddhists - well, they could also be considered part of this too since the Christians were also being killed in the ovens.

‘Icon of Evil’ (ferdie suggested that book, and I have just started it)
and I also ordered ‘The Nazi Connection to islamic Terrorism’.

Both books have a lot of reference and a lot of documents reprinted in the books. (I like that sort of stuff)

The whole thing is though it doesn’t take much to ‘radicalize’ islam. There was still violent jihad going on during the so called peaceful years - just not to the same degree though. And that is why I say it ‘ebbs and flows’. The roots of the violence is in their texts and it is worse than Mein Kampf - I downloaded that to my PC and read it and there isn’t as many references to the violence that mohammed commands.

It has been a while since I read Mein Kampf and it is a lot of nonsense. I would say that about the koran too it is just that for these threads it is referenced all the time that is why it is harder to forget.

Al Husseini is behind the muslim brotherhood, Saddam Hussein, Arafat, hamas, Hezbollah, the radicalization of the wahabbis, al Qaeda, etc. And organizations that the muslim brotherhood uses are CAIR, the MSA (muslim student association in our own schools), and other organizations that work actively to establish sharia laws in our country. (actually it is further along in Europe and the UK with the UK last year allowing sharia law to be recognized. They hand back women who try to flee their beatings, just as one example!)

Oh well, the more you learn about islam the less likely one could find any solace in it as a religion. That is why I have no problem telling people to read the koran - it is something islam’s own people don’t do for the most part - read it to comprehend it not to recite it in some foreign language. And by doing that they will reject islam.

I was not blaming the Catholics prayers. Not at all. It was the Catholics here who were ridiculing the Muslims daily prayers, as you have also done the same, calling them a show piece.

We have collective prayers and individual prayers, open prayers and private prayers. You call our prayers a show piece.

At least we have something to show. You do not have anything to show even. There is nothing prescribed in your holy book about the supposed prayers that you are supposed to be performing nowadays.

Where do you see that the Catholics ridiculing your mandatory 5 times prayer. I even admire your willingness to spare your time for God. That is a good advise for us, you know.

But, for sure. We are not given a mandatory time for praying, but we are given by Christ the example to ALWAYS communicate to God, at ALL TIMES (by praying) and FACE TO GOD when praying. We are not ordered to face to any stone building, knowing that God is not there. To us, God never order us to FACE AWAY FROM GOD when praying.

You read my mind;) not only that Christians are not threatened if we look at the sky when we pray we don’t have to worry about a vengeful g-d gouging out our eyeballs or punishing us because we did not pray at 6:02 a.m. as prescribed.

You are taking a lenient view of the crime of adultry. .

Bro, He stopped the stoning because man should not judge. Other teachings of His in the bible are consistent and reinforce this point.

He did well by saying that the right punishment is stoning to death and the culprit should be stoned. Do you feel that Jesus forbade any one from stoning? Not at all.

Yes he forbade it when he said love one another, bless those who curse you, turn the other cheek, when your brother asks for your coat, give him your cloak too, don’t look at the speck in your brother’s eye whilst ignoring the wood in your own. All mesages of love. NO violence. NO judgment of our fellow children of God.

.

A God who has revealed himself… .

The God came down as man is the revelation i speak about. By His example and by His teachings we are blessed as children of God. All previous teachings through the prophets, all the laws of Israel, were but a preparation for when he would come down and unite us again into his holiness.

. God punished the many people in the world, the same God punished the people in the time of Noah and in the time of Abraham (

Man chooses punishment. God obliges. And only God may dish out punishment if he wishes. Not man. That was Jesus’s point.

You are now inventing a new type of loving God. I did not invent a loving God. A loving God invented me, and you. Men did not know it. could not see it, did not understand the depth of his love. Then he came down as Jesus to die for us so that we could all go to heaven when we die.

.
You are mistaken about many things. We Muslims know more about Jesus and his mother.

You know only what you have read from Muslim sources. Ever thought that they could be wrong? or conveniently distorted? The Quran mixes up Maryam , the sister of Moses, with Mary, the mother of Christ. The Quran, or rather Muhammad, thinks the Trinity is God Jesus and Mary (not the Holy Spirit). The Quran says that God hid Jesus away so he would not be crucified but put someone else in his place. Does God have need to practice deception? The Quran calls Jesus Messiah, but what exactly is his role as a Messiah and why is a Messiah supposedly subordinate to Muhammad in the Muslim world? No, I do not think Muslims are encouraged to or know much about Jesus or Mary.

Jesus came to fulfil the law of Moses. The interpretations that men gave the law, the Jewish Torah then, and your Sharia now, is not what pleases God. an eye for an eye etc…,

.

I want toknow that if you have the good intentions in your heart then why do you go to the church every Sunday?? \

Faith and love is why I go to church. I know God sees my heart, not what i am forced to wear because men or woman may be tempted if i do not wear hideous outfits If you reason this out you must know that it is ridiculous to have a woman cover herself just so men should not be tempted by her. God made Eve from the rib of Adam to be of equal standing, not his toe such that she is dispensable and unworthy and can be used to prevent him from falling into sin.

. Why? Why pray at all, according to your principle of good heart intentions??

I think you missed my point bro, Prayers are good. For you and me. It strengthens faith and evidences faith. But pray because you love god, not because you fear him. Which Diety would respect or reward a coward who bowed because he feared a more powerful being. God’s whole plan is to teach people to love him freely. Islam misses that.

Thank you for your good wishes. Jesus is no God. He is simply a man, no more, but he is the best of men, a messenger and a prophet of God.

If your Quran tells you that it confirms the gospels, and the gospel of John tells you that Jesus proclaims his divinity, what do you do? disobey the Quran? The gospels were already around at Muhammad;s time and Allah says he confirms them. well he could not be confirming an allegedly corrupted text could he? Archaelogical discoveries show that it is the same gospels and biblical books which existed at the time of early apostles as during Muhammad’s time.

So bro, you have a problem, is your “prophet/messiah” Jesus a liar for having claimed to be divine in the Gospel? Or is Muhammad in error in the Quran.

I end with this prayer again. If you are a seeker of the truth, then seek truthfully and i guarantee you will find. Go beyond your usual Muslim sources and encounter God through reason. Mindless ritualistic obedience to the contents of a book compiled by the supposed revelations of a man, who by all accounts could not even be considered holy in thoughts words and deeds, cannot lead you to truth. There is a religion of faith and reason. You will find it in the Catholic Church.

“Seek and ye shall find, ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened.”
