Except for the fact that Mary knew/knows that her Son is God. Muslims conveniently overlook that part of her life - that she witnessed His suffering, His crucifixion and death and His Resurrection.

(See also: Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes etc etc.)

As to the rest of your post, please see dzheremi’s responses. He has explained it much better than I could. 🙂

OK - back to the topic at hand: Islam - Hadiths.
How do you know Mary (MABPWH) witnessed it. According to the bible 3 books says she did not , one says she did. If the bible was democratic. The ruling would be that she did not.

Why are you speaking all of the sudden Dzheremi speaks for you, remember? Plus the only thing you have added thus far is copying and pasting nonsense.

 What? I just said to see his posts about your Arabic nonsense, because he explained it better than I could. He is extremely knowledgeable, particularly since (I believe) he has a degree in that field of study.
So what was the sacrifice for then?

OOOPS … I am getting tired…This was refering to Mary (MABPWH) witnessing the Crucifixion.

I would like to also it will be interesting to know. Because it is a well known fact that the CIA had trained both Osama Bin Laden, and the Taliban, prior to 911 not to mention it helped Saddam Hussein gain its power in the first place.🤷🤷
What? So now all these suicide bombers are really CIA people blowing up Muslims?

In what field. In Arabic? In Islam? …
Linguistics, I believe.
You said that you don’t believe that people go to hell if they don’t accept Jesus as their lord and Savior who sacrificed himself to atone for all mans sins.
Then what was he sacrificed for?
No, I meant that we don’t know who is in Hell or not. Only God knows.

People, when they die, may have a chance to accept Jesus and know Him. Whether they accept Him or not is not for me to say. People on earth who do not know the true Jesus or have never even heard of Jesus would not be judged for that and may certainly be in Heaven.

But, yes, if it came down to final judgment and someone wholeheartedly rejected God, they would end up in Hell. 😦

No just saying that I have never seen a Suicide Bomber. I have never met one. I know thousands of muslims and I do not know anyone who agrees with such conduct. I have lived in both 3rd world and in the US. I know the stance of Islam on Suicide.

I am sure there might have been a few Suicide bombers here and there. But I hear the news on one every day. I have yet to find any video footage of a suicide bomber killing himself. I mean Google maps is available to me, and the US Goverment doesn’t have the technology to show a suicide bomber in action?

The few suicide bombers that I have looked up the stories were all weird. Like the one on the plane on 911. His passport survived the plane crashing into the building. The fire that burned I am not sure how many levels. Then the obvious destruction of the building. But the black box which recorded what was on the plane which is supposedly designed to withstand all sorts of things, is no where to be found. But here comes this passport of this terrorist in perfect condition.

All I know is that the supposed leaders of these “terrorists” were trained by the Government in one point or another.

Also during the russian afghan war in the 1980’s, while the US was in the cold war with russia. The madrassas (religious schools) in pakistan were encouraged by the US to teach extremism so that the students would not let foreign (russian) occupation in muslim land. These students are now TALIBAN.

I am not saying there are no bad muslims in the world. But I refuse to believe everything I see on CNN. I like to do my own research, and use my own logic.

Wait your saying once they die…they will be asked to accept Jesus as god or before they die?

Jesus is God. He has given us His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist. Obviously we are asked to accept Him in this life.

My personal belief is that people who didn’t know Him in this life for whatever reason may have a chance to meet Him and a “last chance” to accept Him when they die. Like I said, it is not for me to judge anyone. It is all up to God.

Oh, I see, it’s all a conspiracy and none of these people in the markets and checkpoints etc are really dying from the suicide bombers.

Why in the world would the government show us suicide bombers in action if the footage survived the blast? And why would you want to even see that?

Please note that these are rhetorical questions as this subject is not even remotely on topic. 🙂

Ok I wanted to clear that up because thats not what you said…
People, when they die, may have a chance to accept Jesus and know Him
Ok so what if they do not accept him as being devine. Can they still go to heaven?

Well, since He is God and would be revealed/confirmed as such, they would be rejecting God, so I would say that person would be choosing Hell and would not go to Heaven.

I always cringe to think of people in hell, because I honestly wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. 😦

I am not saying they are not dying. But doesn’t the constitution say innocent until proven guilty. So if want to see the proof. I am not taking CNN’s word.

Why wouldn’t they. Look at the filth that is allowed to be shown to the public. The government allows all sorts of pornography to roam through our society. Our children are on the internet everyday, do you realize how easily they are exposed to pornography? There is killing and murder on the news. I can go online and google murder or bombing or war and I can find all sorts of things. What would make this so different???
And why would you want to even see that?
I wouldn’t want to see it. I would hate to see it. But if people are going to be accused then you have no choice to want to know if the accusations are JUST.

Well then Jay my friend…you are contradicting yourself…

Because earlier you said…

I have no idea how you are differentiating the 2
No, Christians do not believe that. Only God judges people and their actions. We cannot ever know who is or is not in Hell.
(As a side note, there is no “supposed” sacrifice of Jesus. Jesus was crucified, died and rose from the dead. There were eyewitnesses to all of this, including Jesus’ own mother. It is only Satan who wishes to deny our salvation through Jesus.)

Just for a couple of examples:

Jesus told us divorce is not acceptable (See Mark 10:10-12), yet Muhammad says it is OK.

Jesus also said:

Yet, that is not what Muhammad teaches.

Jesus also predicted his death and resurrection (Mark 10:32-34; Matthew 16:21-23; Mark 8:31-32; Mark 9:29-31; Luke 18:31-34; Matthew 20:17-19) yet Muhammad claims it never happened.

Those are definitely conflicting messages.
Yes these are conflicting messages. The Bible and the Quran conflict. But that wasn’t Dzheremi’s argument. He was saying that Prophet Muhammad’s message is conflicting within itself and Jesus isn’t . Not that the two religions conflict.

so I would say that person would be choosing Hell and would not go to Heaven.
Also, I don’t think anyone would choose HELL.

I think they are misguided by satan and their actions result to them ending up there.

I wouldn’t trust CNN either 😉 I’ll just leave it at that because this is not on topic.

Because you are talking about the government releasing such footage. The government does not produce and release pornography.

I have seen at least one suicide bomber video - it was a woman blowing up a government office. And no, I don’t remember where I saw it and no, I have no desire to look for it.
It was horrific enough the first time. 😦

Again, this is not on topic. I propose we get back to the actual topic of the thread.

Well then Jay my friend…you are contradicting yourself…

Because earlier you said…
I don’t see the contradiction. 🤷

Perhaps I was not clear in my earlier post, but there is no contradiction.

For official teaching see this:
(from the Catechism of the Catholic Church)
This affirmation [no salvation outside the Church] is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:
"Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience – those too may achieve eternal salvation.
“Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men” (CCC 847-848).
But again, this has nothing to do with hadiths in Islam.

Yes these are conflicting messages. The Bible and the Quran conflict. But that wasn’t Dzheremi’s argument. He was saying that Prophet Muhammad’s message is conflicting within itself and Jesus isn’t . Not that the two religions conflict.
I was responding to your post:

And because Muhammad contradicts previous scriptures he must be deemed a false prophet.

However, you actually brought us back around to the topic of the thread - hadiths. 👍

If I remember correctly, dzheremi was commenting about the verses and hadiths where Muhammad advocated killing, and you, if I remember correctly, indicated that there are many more hadiths where he disapproved of these attacks. Perhaps you can post some of these hadiths for both instances to show the circumstances and how there is no contradiction. Thanks. 🙂

Ultimately yes…
Okay, good. Now can we assume that you will learn Greek, Hebrew, and Syriac and read the entire Bible in all its original languages before you talk about Christianity in any capacity? If you object to this, then maybe you’ll see why I reject your stance regarding the Qur’an and any non-Muslim’s ability to critique it. You are starting from a point of view that says that it is THE LITERAL SPEECH OF GOD (as delivered by the angel Gabriel to Muhammad), dictated without error, and can never be translated without losing its divine qualities (because then it’s not the literal speech of God anymore, because we all know God is an Arab, or at least privileged the Arab language and culture above all others by choosing an Arab tribesman as his final messenger). Am I understanding your objection to translations correctly? Because this starts from a position that no serious person can argue from, either for (because it’s ridiculous) or against (because if you already believe it, it is impossible to see the ridiculousness of). You have already chosen to believe the Arab-centric mythology surrounding Islam so completely that you actually believe it to be something other than a regular language. It is not just liturgical (preserved as sacred within a worship setting), it is actually divine in and of itself. Or at least this is how Muslims have explained to me before, in quasi-logical statements amounting to “The Qur’an is the literal speech of God, the Qur’an is in Arabic, therefore Arabic is the language of God”. The problems with this sort of idea should be obvious, and I sincerely hope that you do not endorse it.
The only time you mentioned anything from the translation of the Noble Quran, is when you mentioned 3 words. Not an ayat not a couple ayats. 3 words!! From 5:33. Then I showed you its context by adding 5:32 and 5:34 and the rest of 5:33.
Yes, and I clarified why the context of the verse, which you yourself provided, actually makes it WORSE, not better: Because it equates fighting against Muhammad and his religion with cold-blooded, unjustifiable murder. To someone who is naturally disinclined to believe Muhammad’s side of the story, this is the height of lunacy and egoism.
This depends on your definition of Culture. If you mean beliefs. Our beliefs are based on the Quran. Then yes we believe that the Quran is infallible indestructable unalterated word of Allah SWT, creator of all.
That’s nice, but it is not what I mean. I am talking about culture. The Arab Christians share a common culture with the non-Christian Arabs. With the exception of obviously Muslim-identifying names (Muhammad, Zainab, that sort of thing), there is little to distinguish them from one another. I have both Muslim and Christian friends from Arab lands named Nadia, and they eat the same food, and they pray in the same language, and they even both wear “hijab” (because my Christian friend is Orthodox). Obviously they do not have the same religion.
But don’t Christians believe that about the bible? Don’t Christians believe that if we don’t accept Jesus’ (pbuh) supposed sacrifice for the world, then we are to be damned burning in fire for he rest of our lives???
What does this have to do with the position of the Arabic language and culture within Islam?
I have no idea how you are differentiating the 2 🤷
Apparently not, yes. You assumed I was talking about the particular details of a certain religious faith. But of course not only Arabs can be Muslims, just as not only non-Arabs can be Christians (or Jews, or Hindus, or whatever else).
I think your beef is with the value we put in the language of Arabic.
Of course Arabic is valuable, sah? It is not God’s language, however; at least not any more than we can also say that Bengali, Estonian, Maori, Yupik, or any other language is also God’s language.
I believe God is the master planner. Don’t you? I believe everything happened for a reason. Don’t you? Well then why did all the prophets (peace be upon them) speak similar type languages.
What does this have to do with anything? Do you mean to argue that if Islam had come from Central Asia, Greenland, Eastern Europe, or some other place where Semitic languages are not spoken by the majority of people, it would somehow cease being the true religion that you think it is? Way to shoot yourself in the foot there.

If you know anything about the linguistic history of the area, you know that it is really quite understandable why all the monotheistic religions also have similar linguistic backgrounds. This area of the world was the home of the first writing system, of great Semitic empires prior to the rise of Arabic (and, indeed, great Arabic-speaking kingdoms prior to the invention of Islam, such as that of the Ghassanids), and of centuries of monotheism prior to Muhammad. As much as I hate to leave God out of anything, I feel your invoking of Him in this case shows more of your own ignorance than of His advance planning to make sure that Muhammad was Johnny-on-the-spot with the new religion, as necessary according to…Muhammad. 🤷
Do you think God Almighty did eenee minnie miny mo and randomly picked languages to convey his message?
Wow…I wonder what God was thinking prior to the arrival of Akkadian (the earliest attested Semitic language) in ancient Mesopotamia, when the language spoken and written (in cuneiform, the earliest known writing system) was Sumerian, an unrelated language isolate (in other words, not a Semitic language)! Can you tell me? You seem to know a lot about God’s motivations.
