oh, planten, planten, planten. hmm, its interesting that you dont overly respond to me. maybe its because im female and im talking against your religion. id be stoned to death if i were muslim, and we all know that wont happen, so bring on the stones!

speaking of stones…oh, right, a big black stone is a miracle?! hate to tell you, but there are rocks EVERYWHERE. i have a huge one in my back yard. really, its massive. maybe if i started preaching on it some crazy persons wife will be telling me im a prophet. then ill start believing what she said cos really, i need to take some meds to balance out my paranoid schizophrenia but im scared to take them because maybe someone switched them with poison, so i never took them. then ill get all militant with all the people who are stupid enough to listen to my crazy ramblings and we all go psycho and bust some caps in people i dont likes butts and find it justified…oh, wait. thats what muhammed did. and hes a guy. i forgot. :doh2: so for him, its ok.
and then people decide that mcCrazy, must be right because otherwise they and their families will be killed, and their children will be raped or given to a pedophiliac in “marriage”, so its better just to submit off the bat. hence, the spread of crazyism and its brainwashing throughout the world. unfortunately, there were no good shrinks back in the day of muhammed. im sure he would have been institutionalized otherwise.

yes, we face forward in Church, towards the Tabernacle and Altar where Christ IS. the only way we could possibly face a picture or statue of a Saint in Church is if it was placed in the front. however, we never worship the statues, our eyes and hearts are on Christ who is truly Present to us in the Most Holy Eucharist. Churches have statues and pictures facing towards where the people are so that the backs of the statues are to whatever wall they are on…makes sense to me. why would you hang a picture with the front of it to the wall? the difference between muslims and Christians is that we dont feel we need a navigational bering and pull to a HUGE black rock thats thousands of miles away. and we get a cool nametag if we’ve gone there and kissed it. we dont bow in the direction of the tomb where Christ was buried. there was a huge stone in front of that. our navigational bering and pull is to Christ alone in the Holy Sacrament of the Altar that lives in the Tabernacle waiting for us to come and visit. Christ wanted to be among men so He left us Himself in the Holy Eucharist until He comes again. He didn’t want to abandon His people. **

…the Jews got lost in the desert for 40 years because they didnt listen to God so He kept them there wandering around because they chose to be deaf…i dont think you want to get directions from them…:p:D
** I do not ignore any one because she is a lady. You are welcome to ask anything. I had explained the reason for facing the Ka’abah. It is a miracle. A person sitting in Makkah could not ordinarily know that his teachings will spread far and wide, in every corner of the world. That people will be praying every where. That they will need some sign of unity, concensus. It was by order of Allah that Muhammad chose to face Ka’abah.

I am sorry that you are liable to be killed by the opinion of the ignorant Muslims. To me it makes little difference if 100 persons change over to christianity by their free will and choice. Let bygones be bygones. There is no compulsion in any any religion. That is the very important lesson was given to Muslims and they have forgotten and distorted it. So they will suffer. The apostate, if he/she is not guilty of murder or other serious crime should not be killed at all.

About the balck stone, you will never understand that unless you had performed Hajj. If your parents had done Hajj then please ask them. The Hajis go around Ka’abah and that black stone marks the starting point. Otherwise you know that Muslims do not worship any stone or wall or house or man or woman or dog. At least that should have been known to you since you profess to have come from Islamic background.**

I have great respect for the preachers, any peaceful preacher. He may be a Muslim or Christian or Hindu, any faith at all. The christians put up a lot of effort in spreading christian teachings in Afriqa long ago. But it appears that now their progress has stopped in Afriqa and India.
The bold portion is absolutely false. I recommend that you read Lamin Sanneh’s “Disciples of All Nations: Pillars of World Christianity”. It deals with the growth of the non-Western Church, mostly in Africa. In it, we learn that from 1985 to 2000, the population of Christians in Africa has grown from 270.5 million to 346.5 million. If Christianity were on the decline, we would expect to see such a decline. However, if current trends continue, it is projected that by 2025, there will 600 million Christians in Africa! (p 227). Christianity is the majority religion in most of Africa outside of North Africa (where there is a tiny Christian minority) and West Africa (where there is a large Christian minority in many countries). Most of the recent growth of Christianity in Africa comes at the hands of indigenous Christians, as well. We can say honestly that Christianity is an indigenous African religion, as it has always been. The fact that Christianity is GROWING by leaps and bounds, not shrinking as Muslims falsely claim it is, is truly evidence of God’s love and power.

Not quite true. Catholics on this site very frequently claim that they pray *to Mary. That statement can be found lots of places.

Catholics pray to Mary and they pray to saints. Is that so bad? I mean, they want Mary and the saints to do something for them so they pray to them for their help. Ya just gotta admit it because it’s really the way it is.
We pray to Mother Mary and Saints for their intercession to God/Jesus Chirst on behalf of us. I repeat,when we say we pray to them means we ask for their intercession. Mother Mary and Saints do not have the power to grant us our needs. But since they have led a more holy life compared to us( we’re sinners) their prayers are more powerful than us.

But the plain fact is that lots of Catholics even some on this web site say they pray to Mary. Lots and lots. Must be true, eh?

And when you pray the Hail Mary, how can that language be a prayer *with Mary?
We pray to Mother Mary and Saints for their intercession to God/Jesus Chirst on behalf of us. I repeat,when we say we pray to them means we ask for their intercession. Mother Mary and Saints do not have the power to grant us our needs by themselves. But since they have led a more holy life compared to us their prayers are more powerful than ours. Mother Mary and Saints are in heaven sharing the Kingdom of God. They hear us and see us. So we can always request them to plead to God for our spiritual/eartly needs.

Salaam/peace;

so , men made statues have power to pray ?

Is there any verse in ur holy book that tells u to do so ? Why don’t u pray to God directly without making statues ?

In ur Bible , God warns that God is very jealous & will take revenge if u worhip anyone besides God. Why take unnecessary risk that may throw u in fire forever ?

Saints are dead persons. We can ask someone who is ALIVE to pray for us , pray with us …but how come dead saints can pray with u ?
Saints are not mere dead people, they are in heaven with God, they hear us, they see us. That’s what is Christiany is all about, salvation - sharing the kingdom of God, having eternal life in heaven.

** Okay, I believe you. But the progress must have slowed down now compared to what it was in 19th century. It is good that people are coming towards christianity. But what are those people? Who are those people who are converting nowadays?

I wish them well and the preachers too.**

**They do not hear you and cannot do anything for you because they are dead. Every one has topray to One God and worship Him only. All needs are to be presented to the One God.

But you can ask Mary to intercede for you on the day of judgement if you can find her. And she may try to intercede for you if Allowed by the God Almighty.**

**That was not a reply to the question which was asked about the graven images or statues. Whether the church teaches bowing to images and statues? The answer was required Yes or NO.

But the reply is not proper. So the answer ha sbeen purposely avoided**.
Answer is NO. Because you have interpreted the commandment in your own perception.

Saints are not mere dead people, they are in heaven with God, they hear us, they see us. That’s what is Christiany is all about, salvation - sharing the kingdom of God, having eternal life in heaven.
**O.K. Thanks for telling us all that. Your saints are alive with God. Have they been resurrected too? How come they are alive. The spirit or soul never dies. It is alive. But it is inactive and waiting in Barzakh (purgatory) for the rise up on the day of Judgement. But it appears that your saints have risen before the day of judgement. How is that.

What we are describing is according to Islamic belief. Those who have passed away, their account is closed. They can niether do anything good or bad. But we can pray to The God for those who have passed away, even for Jesus and Muhammad. Jesus himself used to pray to his God.**

Salaam/peace;

Muslims beleive Jesus (p) did not die & will come back before the last day …what’s so wrong with this belief ? How do u know Christans are right & Muslims are wrong ?

The Women

And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah;

and** they did not kill him nor did they crucify him,** but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it;

they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.

[4.157]
Its written in all the scriptures even in Matthew who was a disciple of Jesus, Peter who was the chief desciple preached about it and its documented. He also was crucified but the head pointed down becuase Peter didn’t want to die the exact way his master, our Lord Jesus Chirst was crucified. Jesus has appeard to many saints and testified his crucifixtion. Jesus died to pay for the sins of all of us, so by faith and by his all those who believe in him will be saved and will have eternal life. He conquered death by rising on the 3rd day. These are very essence of Chirstian faith. No one with proper intelligence can deny the truth of Christianity, there are too many evidence. All the martyres who suffered and died for thier faith, ( ex St. Peter, St. Paul) will they go through such trauma if Christinaity was false, if Chirst wasn’t crucified and risen from the dead?

I think you’re making extremly stupid statements, your intention is not to learn but to argue invain. THEY ARE NOT DEAD. They are in heaven, they are ALIVE in heaven. They are not deaf. Mother Mary has appeared to many holy men and women acorss the centuries. Have you heard of Lourdes, Fathima for example? I can give you websites for refernce if you’re intersted. But has your Muhamed? You don’t know anything at all but just twist your words here and there, it only proves how stupid you are. I’m so sorry to say so but that’s what you are.

Resurection will happen only at the end of time when Jesus Christ comes in glory to judge. Which means our bodies will be resurected with our souls. Right now their (saints) souls are alive in heaven with God, their physical bodies are dead but not their souls! So they hear us and see us and there are millions of recoreded miracles that have happned through thier intrecession on behalf of us to God. FYI one criteira to be a saint is at least two proven miracles has to be attributed by his/her intrecession.

**What you said may be something fascinating. But it is not true nor any gospel. It is your good wishes or wishful thinking. So I leave you with your ideas.
Risen does not mean to die and then get up. Please do not use such doubtful words.

I have explained the Quranic version of the crucifixion in another post, i.e. the verse 4:157. Please see that.
**.
Again you’re saying silly things. Jeaus was crucified and risen, its being testfied by eyewitnesses and his disciples and they have documented it in the scriptures. Muhamed was not alive then. You know nothing about Chritianity but makes hightly ambiguous statements. :eek:

Just a few pictures showing the Peaceful nature of Islam. All of these boys are dead now having strapped bombs to them selves and exploded killing many innocent lives. Each has been praised as a Martyr for Islam. The top two teenagers were hung because they spoke out against Islamic Law.

Not all the deaths are from bullets, napalm and white phosphorus. Some a come from deliberate starvation, denial of water and denial of sanitation

and Christians claim Jesus (p) taught them to turn other cheek …huh.

No one should ignore the effects that is caused by the use of depleted uranium ammunition on the Iraqi population, especially the kids and babies.

Here is a link to witness the absolute horror of what these weapons are doing to Iraqi babies.

A warning here, for those who might not have the stomach to watch these kind of pictures, perhaps it would be better that you do not click on the link below.

firstly, i would like to apologize if my previous post was insulting. at the end of the day, its still what you believe, whether or not i think youre right or wrong. its not right to tear down your side so to speak, when there are kinder - more Christian ways, if you will- to show by example, patience, and love. so i am sorry.

also, i never claimed to be from an islamic background, as a matter of fact, i said ‘when i returned to Christianity’ and that ‘i was a cradle Catholic’, or i thought i did…i will agree with you that people need a direction and something that unites them, but not necessarily a nautical bering (like north, west, east, south, or anything in between) i think that we all need to find that something between ourselves, but that somethings gotta be deeper than north, south, east, west…it has to be something on the inside. however, i still know a lot about muslim life, culture, etc. i’m an artist and studied their art as well.

i don’t believe in the death penalty at all, regardless of crime. i think jail should be like jail and punishments should be severe according to the crime (not like torture or anything horrible like that!).

in the same way, we do not worship stone, wall, house, man, woman, dog, or anything else, either. We worship God the Father who sent His only-begotten Son to us, Whom we also worship all in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Who said Christians did this? If this happened due to a Military Campaiign I will state it again. The U.S. Military as well as all Military’s around the world are comprised of Multi racial and Multi Religious Organizations. (All Militaries not form the Middle East that is) I just did an interview with a Marine who is a Staff Seargent who is Muslim and is about to go back to Iraq. He is fighting for the United States in Iraq. Saying that the United States Military or that the Military of any of our Allies is a "Christian Military is absurd. Can you prove that any of those children were harmed personally by a Christian?

Ironically you still have not condemed the actions of Muslims who kill in the name of allah.

If a Christian personally did that to those Children I condemn it. That is wrong and I doubt they are Christians, and I would not call them that. See I can at least say it can you?
