No. You were beginning to create cognative dissonance in her mind. It is easier to push you off to another sourse than question her own ideology.

Either that or she did not know beyond the normal Muslim talking points.
that makes sense. i think im going to make an account on a muslim site and ask the same questions. my name will be CAFcrusader. you and jesusislove should join me.

I HATE that decent Muslim people are trapped in a false and cheap immitation of the truth, under penalty of death. In the 7th century A.D. (after Christ), Mohammed himself, declaring the Jews and Christians were in error, stated he was rewriting the Bible and replacing Jesus with himself as the main character. It was changed in subtle and not so subtles ways in furtherance of his ambitions. First, to persuade other Arabs and then (later changed/added to) to conquer those who did not accept his version. Those are simply facts. That is the simple history of how the religion of Islam came into being.

The original Bible (Old and New Testament) says that Jesus is the son of God who died for our sins so that we could be reunited with the God of love through forgiveness. (It is satan who is the “god” of hate.) The Bible warned about false prophets and that the anti-christ denies the son. The Mosque on the old temple mount has an inscription on the gold dome that says “God has no son.”

Salaam/peace

no , I have no intention to debate with anyone here. This thread is only for bashing Islam & Muslims. Pl. enjoy yourselves 😃
I hate that decent Muslims are trapped in Islam under penalty of death.

I have not seen anyone being abusive to you.

We have joy that you cannot have under Islam.

Ottomans who conducted genocide on Christians were Muslim.

Half of Cyprus has been invaded by a Muslim country.

Iran, which plans to destroy Israel, is a Muslim country.

Kuwait was invaded by a Muslim country.

The former Iraqi regime, which killed thousands of Muslim Kurds, had a Muslim dictator.

Thousands of Serbs are still attacked in Kosovo by Muslim Albanians.

The Inquisition in Spain was inherited from the so-called Islamic civilization and her Shariah Law.

Should we go on?
So you are saying we judge a religion based on what the people in it has done ? Past and present?

Boy… I think I should leave the church if that is the criteria of a bad religion.

I never really bought the whole “Jesus is god” lie.

From your last sentence, there can be no doubt that you already have left the church. You should also then change your profile, as your beliefs are anathema to Catholicism, as they are to Christianity period.

If the people of Islam band together and destroy AlQuaida and show that way their desire for peace and equality of all faiths and people. Then we can believe i n respect of Muslims for other people.
Why aren’t muslims fighting to destroy AlQuaida?
Muslims are expected to support jihad, actively or passively, as a duty of being Muslim. They can be accused of abandoning Islam and be executed under Sariah law otherwise.

Decent Muslims are trapped in Islam under penalty of death.

I participated in this thread earlier. There was constant accusation of Muslim-bashing when no one was abusing her or any other Muslim. It was a lot of reasonable argument against and exposure of untruths in Islam however. Is this a chat jihad?

No I will not.

And yes I am.

Unsustainable excuses for jihad
Though acknowledging the deadly and totalitarian nature of jihad, some observers insist that the Islamic world isn’t naturally or inevitably jihadist. They say the jihadist impulse is merely situational, an understandable response to external provocation. This generous view of Islam is reflected in contemporary Western reference works that define jihad as the use of military force in defense of Islam, rather than, as is the actual case, the use of military force to expand Islamic-controlled territory.

The same non-judgmental attitude is seen in the notion that jihadism, after a long period of dormancy, has been reawakened in recent decades by outside threats and irritants, namely the U.S. support for Israel, the U.S. presence in the Persian Gulf states, and American cultural imperialism. In reality, intrusion by a Western power into a Muslim land has never been needed to set off a jihad. Jihadists in the 19th and early 20th centuries repeatedly engaged in horrendous violence, and not just against colonial occupiers.

In the 1860s a Muslim cleric in the Punjab launched murderous jihad against Sikhs and then against all non-Muslim groups. In the 1820s and '30s the Padri Islamists in West Sumatra waged war against less pure Muslims whom they accused of paganism. In South India in 1921, jihadists carried out massacres, the forcible conversion of Hindus and the desecration of Hindu temples. And today, of course, Islamists are attacking non-Muslims along a vast arc extending from Nigeria to Indonesia. Far from having fallen into permanent remission, jihad remains an ever present threat—it is the default mode of Muslims whenever they find themselves in close and sustained proximity with non-Muslims.

It is clear that a state of powerlessness lasting centuries has failed to remove the jihadist imperative from the souls of Muslims. As the Muslim scholar C. Snouck Hurgronje wrote in 1916, “Even if they admit the improbability [of world conquest] at present, they are comforted and encouraged by the recollection of the lengthy period of humiliation that the Prophet himself had to suffer before Allah bestowed victory upon his arms.”

The reference is to the first stage of Muhammed’s career, when he was living in Mecca among non-Muslims who were hostile to his message. Since Muhammed underwent a long period of relative weakness, Muslims, treating the Prophet’s life as a model for their own, can with equanimity accept the same. They can hang out for ages, confident that sooner or later will come the hejira, the paradigmatic escape to Medina, whence they will be empowered to start waging jihad in earnest.

our church has messed up but does it teach people to do bad things, or to kill people? no. so think before you speak next time blasphemer.

What does that have to do with Islam?
SPOILER ALERT

At the end the inhabitants of a street in NY, half Israeli half Arab, come to peace with their differences. because they are in America and can think for themselves without being persecuted. (see first amendment)

If you say you never bought the whole “Jesus is god lie”, you have never belonged to the Church of Christ. Thus, it is impossible for you to leave the Church you have never entered. Study some logic 😉

I wrote those statements in response to a Muslim who blamed Christians for conducting all atrocities in history and mistakenly supposed that Muslims were angels in flesh. You must be a Muslim not to read and evaluate my posts in context

You were never a Christian in the first place as you came here with an objective to employ taqiyya and kitman to further cause upset amongst Christian participants.

Christ’s divinity is the essence of Christian teaching. Only a true blue Muslim or a heretic would say such things. If a person denies the divinity of Christ, he/she is automatically anathema.

That’s not very christian of you is it? Name calling?

and to cathopologist
I was born and baptised and married in the church. And yes I am part of it and attend every Sunday thank you.👍

Being born, baptized and married in a church does not make one a Christian if one does not practice the essential teachings of Christianity. Look to the Nicene Creed if unsure.

Plus, i’ve heard all this from Muslims/Protestants posing as Catholics many, many times in forums before. Its nothing new.

Here’s a tip for you: In Christianity, Christ is God. A blasphemer is someone who denies His divinity. That’s not name-calling.

BY classical definition, a Christian is one who accepts the teaching on the Trinity as such. IN other words, there is one God with three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son is known to man as Jesus, the God made Man who dwelt among us. If you deny that Jesus is God, you cannot be a Christian by classical definition.

You can call yourself whatever you want, but that does not make it so. I can call myself a polar bear, but at no time will I be covered in fur and eating seals.
