but bahai IS an extension of islam

wasalam
You realize Islam considers the Baha’i religion a heresy, right? 😉

Again, what a person argues and what they really are, are two different things.

Incorrect. Uthman was assassinated for a different reason and the Uthman Quran is exactly like the other Qurans only it is in a different arabic dialect.

wasalam
If they were only in different dialect why burn them? Especially since Mohammed said that they were all the word of god, all 7 versions. That is sacrilege.

Yes we do but we also know that bahai IS an extension of islam similar to ahmadiyya.

what do u mean they were burnt??

Ahmadiyya is also considered a heresy by most orthodox Muslims. It can’t be an extension of Islam if it violates what Islam teaches. I’m sure Mohammad and his companions would agree with me here. 😃

Hahah muslims consider each other to be heretics so I doubt there is much chance for the bahais

Sunni’s consider shia Islam to be a heresy and many conservative Muslims consider the Koran only Muslims who reject the sunnah to be a heretical sect, other sunnis look down on the suffis etc so im pretty sure the bahai’s are considered heretics .

Correct me if im wrong but The variant Korans were burnt under uthman who produced a unified codex in the qurahsi dialect.

THERE IS A PATH

There is a path. It had been neglected.
For there were many who had danced with the misleader.
And so to rejection was the select path subjected.
The thorns of evil continually grew around the path’s perimeter.

Then a leader came.
He cut away the thorns with an aura of good.
Muhammed was his name. (Peace be upon him)
Against every evil he proudly stood.

Then the leader perished,
But his message continued.
And the path by many was cherished.
Time past…

There is a path.
It is arrow straight.
Whoever strays evokes a wrath.
The wrath is waiting behind hell’s gate.

There is eternity after this world.
One which the believer will enjoy.
As he looks at what the creator has unfurled.
One which science can never destroy…

There are people who won’t listen.
There are people who will never understand.
There is a path. Watch it glisten.
Temptation on all sides; bait from the devil’s hand.

There is eternity after all this.
One which the disbeliever will abhor.
As he insists and persists to resist that a creator exists.
He should’ve known that there would be more…

There is a path. It has been neglected.
For there are many who dance with the misleader.
And so to rejection is the select path subjected.
The thorns of evil continue to grow around the path’s perimeter.

O my brothers and sisters…Tread carefully.
For we can avoid the thorns but we do not have the strength to break them.
But do not despair, a leader like the one before shall come soon.
And the message will be pure once more and it will reign across the world.
But until then…
We MUST be patient. We MUST keep our faith. We MUST stay on the path.
For our judgements draws nearer…

there are many who have been led astray from the path deus—including muslims themselves…may God guide us all.

Sure, I thought everybody knew about uthman burning variant manuscripts of the kroan.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham and the people of Iraq were Waging war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Qur’an, so he said to 'Uthman, “O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Quran) as Jews and the Christians did before.” So 'Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, “Send us the manuscripts of the Qur’an so that we may compile the Qur’anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you.” Hafsa sent it to 'Uthman. 'Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, 'Abdullah bin AzZubair, Said bin Al-As and 'AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. **'Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, “In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Qur’an, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, the Qur’an was revealed in their tongue.” They did so, and when they had written many copies, 'Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. 'Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur’anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. **Said bin Thabit added, "A Verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Qur’an and I used to hear Allah’s Apostle reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. (That Verse was): ‘Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah.’ (33.23)

oh okay
so what was wrong with this?

so you have no problem with a guy 20 years after Mohammad burning all these variants of the Koran so that he could produce a unified qurashi codex? its especially sacrilegious because Mohammad said that all these koranic variants were equally the word of god as the quran was revealed in all these 7 dialects but uthman only preserved it in the qurashi dialect burning the variant manuscripts because he said it was just revealed in the qurashi dialect something which contradicts with mohamamd statements.
don’t you see that at all as even just being a bit sacrilegious and damning? Who was uthman to do such a thing?

He was the khalif at the time. And just so you can know-the only way of getting rid of anything which has Allah’s name in it or is holy to the muslims is not to throw it away but burn it. 🙂

Interesting statement there Zagi

Well then, why do muslims go ballistic when a koran is burned by a non-muslim.

Burning variants of the Koran and just having 1 unified form of it in the qurashi dialect, directly goes against what Mohammad said , he is recorded numerous times in the sunnah as saying that the koran was revealed in 7 dialects and that they were all the word of god, yet uthman says it was only revealed in the qurashi dialect and burns the variants. This begs the question why did Allah allow the desecration of his word by caliph uthman?, because that’s what it is if Mohammad was right and they all were the same word of god. Why did Allah need 7 version of the Koran in the 1st place, Mohammad said it was to make it easier for the Muslims to understand but it caused numerous problems and infighting over which version was correct.

Or written on a soccer ball. 😃
hahah i remember when that append the Saudi Arabian flag which has the shahada on it was on a world cup soccer ball with flags of many different countries. I think Americans gave them out as presents and it produced huge outrage amongst muslims.

By the way zaki you still havent explained to me if all these variants were the word of allah (as pronounced by Mohammad) why Allah allowed them to be burnt?

well isn’t it obvious? the intentions behind a muslim burning the Quran will be much different then the intentions of a non-muslim burning the Quran…understand? 🙂

nope especially since your prophet said they were all the word of god and hence burning any of them is sacrilege especially since Mohammad said THEY ALL ARE THE WORD OF GOD, which if it’s the case why did Allah allow his word to be burnt after having revealed it in 7 modes he decided to reverses his previous initiative and allow them to be burnt?
