Since when does anyone take the UN seriously?

I think the UN is a respected body and that the opinions of the Secretary-General are given a certain weight. Granted, individuals and individual member states are not bound by those opinions. And granted, in US domestic politics the UN is often dismissed by persons on the right side of the political spectrum.

I think it is laughable the UN “condemns” anything when their “peacekeepers” have committed numerous war crimes.

The UN has no troops of its own, but depends on member states to loan its soldiers. Individuals in any military sometimes commit crimes.

For example, the US does not loan troops for UN peacekeeping, however its own troops have committed crimes which could stand trial in the International Court of Justice. The US does not belong to the International Court, so such crimes have been prosecuted within the US military.

But that is what America is all about, the right to dissent. Unlike nodding your head in submission and most disturbing against your conscience.

Interesting that the bible says in the end times, nearly all the world will be at Israels doorstep ready to attack, but makes no mention of Israels major ally, the US…?? Other nations know if they mess with Israel, they will have to deal with the US, so in the end times, either the US is not a world power anymore and cannot put up a fight like they used to, OR they will be one of the nations on the doorstep waiting to attack…i dont know about anyone else, but I tend to believe the first theory, I cant see the US suddenly becoming an enemy of Israel.

My purest feelings are guided by the Holy Spirit, in this space i am appalled by the murder of children. Keep in mind i have not declared my support for any party to this conflict unlike yourself.
I feel the rockets and the tunnels to be misdirected anger, yet the desperate gasps of a tortured people forced into poverty and isolation by a power bedecked in trappings of rage and gluttony.
To declare support for child murderers in the midst of Satanic levels of slaughter is unbecoming of a Christian.

Yea, thats what I did, declared support for Israel. Be that as it may be, I heard the prime minister apologize all day for the children. Ironically I never heard it once by the terrorists.

Obviously you gloss over that, they Hamas are terrorists and murderers and rapists of Christians, Jews, children and everyone else not pledging alliance to Mohammed.

Human shields is what Hamas uses the innocent for. You forfeit your right to be called civilians and innocent when you freely elect members of a terrorist organization as statesmen, invite them to dinner with blood on their hands and allow them to set up shop in your living room as their base of operations. You do realize that in their charter, Hamas has called for the eradication/destruction of Israel, right, moreover, you do realize that as of 2005 Israel left the Gaza strip (soldiers, settlers, settlements. . .etc.), and in response to this removal, Hamas has been launching rockets into Israel daily.
