Why would we vaporize the cities of our ally, Israel?
Because, it saddens me to say, some people don’t distinguish between the victims and the perpetrators, the tortured and the torturers, the peaceful and the violent, or the merciful and the cruel.

The only exception to this moral relativism is between the bystanders (which are called good) and those who fight evil (who are called bad).

He is solely responsible for his crime, but the victim contributes to being victimized by his or her provocative action.

If that fellow’s money remained in his pocket and wasn’t being waved about, if that woman was modestly dressed, the changes of their being victims would have been very small.
Not really – I was once the victim of an attempted mugging when I had less than $12 in my wallet.

And many a woman has been raped while wearing very modest clothing.

Said like a true anti-semite.
No; but I’m not a Christian Zionist, either. Simply because I point out the nasty activities committed by the Israelis, and refuse to view them as plaster saints, that doesn’t make me an anti-semite.

Sabra and Shatila was made by christians not jews, christian falanges because their leader had been killed by palestinians.
There is evidence to suggest otherwise; and in any event, we could go into the whole question of whether Israel had any right to invade Lebanon to begin with.
Israel is much better than these countries, is a democracy and there are human rights.
Human rights…selectively applied.

Israel is by no means perfect. However, the fact remains that Israel is one of the most humane and decent places on the planet, and the Palestinian societies seeking their destruction are among the cruelest places on earth. I wish it wasn’t so, but that is how it is.

I truly can’t believe that you wrote this. This is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever read on this forum. The victims, as you have described them, did not provoke anything. Provocation would require a much more active role by the victim.

Absolutely, if you’re all about freedom and obeying the law you have all the human rights murderers and cowardly terrorists don’t.

As it is in any civilized nation.

Or sleeping in her own bed at at her own home. Or getting into her own car in her parking garage. Our local elevator operator was killed for NOT having more than $3 – they became enraged.

Ask me again why I have a Concealed Handgun License.

Well I didn’t even mention the “dress code” remarks – I thought that kind of thinking went out with the 50’s for heavens sake.

I don’t blame you one bit for having a license…I have begun to think we ought to get like the Swiss – insist that EVERY adult have handgun training and that way no one knows whether your’re packing or not.

Merely allowing those who take the initiative to get the training and background check to carry has had a dramatic effect on violent crime.

Now if you nuke Gaza you are going to get alot of fall out over Israel…arent they one of Americas friends? Nice way to treat friends:(
Depends on the type of nuke used, and how it is used. Alot of research has been put into US nukes and have been designed to limit the amount of fallout and contamination. Soviet designs were typically cheaper and ‘dirtier’.

Selectively applied based on which communities have people strapping bombs to their bodies.

Lovely  …any fallout or contamination IMO is TOO MUCH!

It’s harder now, since nuclear weapons won’t have a return address.
Not exactly true, we can analyze the residual elemental isotopes to determine what materials were used in the construction and pretty much narrow it down to which country made or find out what they did with the materials

Exactly, we’ve designed our to be short lived. Meaning it is gone in days, if not hours. And the type of contamination, depending on what type of emitter it is, also determines what risks it poses. Some types pose almost no risk.

And what guarantee is there that we would use those types of weapons??? We have the other kind also.

Why would we go to all the expense of making them if we never intended to use them?

Well we mass produced them during the “cold war era” but we did not use them…

No, we’ve been makeing only cleaner ones for decades, and we’ve either dismantled or destroyed older ones. They cost more but there is no point in making the area and surrounding areas un-usable for decades. It is mostly because of the close proximity of countries in Europe and the realization that certain elements will just become polluters.
