No, I said that the Democratic Party doesn’t support “killing children in utero.” As an attorney, I try to be precise about what I say, and nowhere does the Party support “killing children in utero.”
Sorry. I forgot the unborn aren’t actually children since, in what passes as the liberal intelligentsia, changing the connotation of a word actually alters reality.

Here’s a precise word for you:

soph·ist·ry [m-w.com/images/audio.gif](javascript:popWin(’/cgi-bin/audio.pl?sophis11.wav=sophistry’))
Function: noun
1 : subtly deceptive reasoning or argumentation
2 **: SOPHISM **1

For example, abortion doesn’t kill children in utero.

During an abortion a baby is killed in utero.
Look up the definition of baby. Killing a baby is called infanticide and it’s a felony in every state.

So we learn more:)

So are you telling us now that a fetus isn’t a baby?

Btw, as I understand the teachings of the Catholic Church, abortion is infanticide.

No, I prefer to stick to precisely defined terms. You’d be surprised how fast opposing counsel would jump on me if I started to substitute my own emotionl definitions for legal terms connected with a case that I was arguing.

And, hey, conservative attorneys find offense with incorrect terms as much as liberal attorneys do. It has something to do with respect for the law, not whether one fellow or the other is part of the intelligensia.

Hmmm, what is a baby?

Main Entry: 1ba·by
Pronunciation: 'bA-bE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural babies
Etymology: Middle English, from babe
1 a (1) : an extremely young child; especially : INFANT (2) : an extremely young animal b : the youngest of a group

So the inutero child is not a baby, seems like the definition fits, unless you want to claim that a child in utero isn’t a child… What is that little person inside the womb, is it not a child or a baby?

I don’t practice Canon Law. I practice in state courts of the U.S. The Church’s definitions aren’t applicable in our courts any more than China’s definitions are.

READ THE DEFINITION YOU PROVIDED!

I did. Do you deny that a fetus is a very young child? The youngest of a group?

how about this:
Main Entry: fe·tus
Pronunciation: 'fE-t&s
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin, act of bearing young, offspring; akin to Latin fetus newly delivered, fruitful – more at FEMININE
: an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind; specifically : a developing human from usually three months after conception to birth

So, the democratic party would be the party that supports the killing of developing humans for whatever reason anyone wants. Does that work?

One more time:

soph·ist·ry m-w.com/images/audio.gif
Function: noun
1 : subtly deceptive reasoning or argumentation
2 **: SOPHISM **1

This sort of “reasoning” is part and parcel of the authoritarian left, and it is used regularly to squash dissent. For examples: Marriage isn’t between one man and one wife. It’s between any two (or more) consenting adults. Gender isn’t an innate characteristic. Rather, it is merely a social construct. The unborn aren’t alive and/or human; therefore, abortion doesn’t end a human life. Abortion doesn’t kill children or babies, because an unborn child/baby isn’t really a child/baby. Homosexuality is perfectly natural, and anyone who disagrees isn’t tolerant but instead is motivated by “animus” (to quote the Supreme Court).

Et cetera, et cetera.

In fact one method of abortion involves dismembering the baby in the uteris and removing it in pieces (you may recall a woman sued over a bungled attempt at this sort of abortion and gave birth to a baby missing an arm.)

So, who supports abortion clearly DOES support killing in utero.

Read your own definition. A fetus is not a young child.

I agree that the Democratic Party platform and its leadership support abortion on demand. So do Republicans, though not as many. I’ve never denied this.

.
Really?

webster child definition
Main Entry: child
Pronunciation: 'chI(&)ld
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural chil·dren /'chil-dr&n, -d&rn/
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English cild; akin to Gothic kilthei womb, and perhaps to Sanskrit jathara belly
1 a : an unborn or recently born person b dialect : a female infant

Hmmm, seems like a young child can be unborn. Your turn.

Richardols:
You don’t believe the definition you provided, so have to hunt around for another. Tsk, tsk.
Actually, I showed that you are wrong. And now you are going to just ignore it? Oh, the shame of being tsk tsked…

In case you missed it…I proved that by definition, a baby is a young child and that a child includes the unborn. I simply worked though the definitions, which you apparently just assumed you knew.

That’s the great thing about sophistry. The sophist never has to admit he was wrong. Instead, he just sits back and feigns superior knowledge while sniffing downward from what he perceives to be the high ground.

But there is at least this: Richarols isn’t fooling anyone, except perhaps himself.

I wasn’t talking about law or what you practice or courts. I was talking about the fact the Democrat Party supports a woman’s right to kill her baby in utero.

I’m just glad we can all agree that the democratic party is the party with the platform of killing children. Much more catchy than the party of killing developing humans… 😉

Richardols:
I forgot. Your stock in trade is emotionalism, not fact. But, to each his own.
The factual reality remains, no matter how many invalid assertions you try to make, Richard. No matter what level of sophisty you try to apply to the argument to to justify the unjustifiable:

The Democrat Party supports the killing of children in utero.

Apply whatever label you wish, Richard. The factual reality is what it is and be what it be:)

Come on, Richard, this is beneath you.

You said they don’t approve killing in utero. I showed that there IS at least one form of abortion which involves not only killing in utero but dismembering the child as well.

The proper response to his comment would be “I didn’t know the facts. I stand corrected.”
