Okay, let’s stick to scripture, Slinger. I believe the Bible is indeed God’s word, and believe it is profitable for instruction.
[bibledrb]2 Timothy 3:16[/bibledrb]
However, there are some doctrines among bible-believing Christians that are in dispute, e.g., the Trinity (e.g., Jehovah’s Witnesses), day of worship (e.g., Seventh Day Adventists), justification/salvation, predestination, end times theology, etc.
Using only the Bible, how do I resolve these opposing views? And if
1 Timothy 3:15 is true, then isn’t there a church that can help me discern the truth? If so, how do I know which church to choose? Or, if the church includes all believers, does that mean that all “Christians” - from Mormons to Benny Hinn followers - make up the pillar and foundation of truth, such that each one possesses divine truth? Wait… that can’t be right… anyway, I’m looking forward to your reply on this one.
Please stick to scripture in your response - not your opinion, not a minister’s or pastor’s opinion, and not your particular church’s opinion. As you said, the Bible is the only source of God’s instruction.
