You have stated statistics on various problems within the church that are not of a docternal - whole church nature. When I read “off the rails” in someone else’s previous post, I was reading it that in some way Catholic teaching had been moved “off the rails” incorrectly. While there has always been an element of… well, put it this way, we are fallen, so there will always be a concern about the here and now and how bad it is. We are all waiting for Christ to come, so your point there is taken in a sense. However, the crisis in the Church is extremely bad, and to brush it off as if it is the status quo for the Church to be in a crisis such as this one is a-historical.
So I will give an answer in the form of statistics.
Yes, it is unfortunate when the faithful begin to fall away from the Truth, but while we can do what we can, it is God who gives each of us our individual free will to do what we wish. If this means that individuals are falling away from His Church, so be it, even though we can teach the Truth until we are blue in the face. I just want to be sure the Church is teaching and sticking to the Truth!
also, your statistics. I have seen you post these before. Are they statistics for the US, another country, or the whole world? What are your sources on these, as you only give a few on a couple of the numbers.
Thanks!
