I've officially left the Church

Notice, if you will, that thecoach never actually responds to the poster with evidence to the contray. Instead, he simply critizes the poster by saying he’s “just fine thanks” and points out that the Church doesn’t approve of saying anyone is going to hell. While the later is certainly true, I find it rather funny that the first sentence within thecoach’s response is exactly the same sin. Furthermore, Catholics are not permitted to determine the final destination of an individual’s soul as that is for God alone. However, we ARE told that we should admonish our brothers and sisters if they do wrong in the hope that they will turn from their evil ways and come to Christ. It was however, an artful attempt thecoach.
This seems to be all he has been doing this whole time 🤷

“claim to know everything we teach (if that were even humanly possible) and reject it all in favor of some freaky belief system, etc.”

So its not humanly possible? Therefore, even your hierarchy cannot know what they teach? Wow.

About this thead: 283 posts, 19 pages so far (in a single day) - not too bad!!!

more proof of your deceptive offer at discussion…you are nothing but ad hominem insults…such as it is when there is no real substance. Not only would you NEVER get me back to the RCC as in your offer, your posts are probably driving others away. Keep up the good work.

Here’s hoping your wife doesn’t realize how easy this makes it for you to rationalize divorce.

more drive-bys from those with no substantive contributions.
I made a substantive contribution earlier, one which you gladly ignored because you could not refute it.

All you have been doing is saying us Catholics are wrong, yet you have not refuted anything we have proposed.

Is that true? I had never known that, but it makes the Eucharist make even more sense than before. Could you provide some proof? Thanks!
Exodus chapter 12 - note in particular the instruction in verse 10. 🙂

(The instructions from vs. 43 to the end of the chapter are also very interesting. 🙂 )

Well, he could have stood…there’s always an annulment, right? Besides, if someone is taking Scripture as a guide, how to you figure the logic of your statement?

Mine are open wide…pray for yourself.
Rev?! are you rejecting prayer? Are you so perfect that you can do this? LOL how very arrogant.😃 I do so love my protestant brothers and sisters regardless how “different” they are from Christianity. God bless thecoach.

A contribution…as in ONE? Besides…you ARE wrong! (had to, couldnt resist) 😃

I am rejecting misguided prayer, yes. Any other ad hominem attacks you want to get out, or is your ego stroked enough for one day?

And wow, are you looking up every post so as to take a cheap shot? Sounds like someone has issues…

Luckily, it is not up to human beings to “make” anybody be Catholic. This is the Holy Spirit’s job. 😉

If you want to be Catholic, no human being will prevent you, and if you don’t, no human being will convince you.

I don’t recall the father telling his prodigal son that. In fact, didn’t he wait for him at the end of “drive” waiting, longing for him to come home. In fact, the son wanted to earn his way back into his good graces, but the father brushed that aside and said welcome home, now let’s have a party. Is that not what happened, or am I interpteting it wrong, or should I not be trying to interpret it at all?
The son had come to his senses. He stopped sinning, repented and asked for forgiveness. The father welcomed him back.

Yes. Christ’s sacrifice IS perfect…therefore there is no need for its re-enactment.
Why not? It is only a re-enactment (your words) which helps us to remember the sacrifice that the Son of God made for us. Surely you are not suggesting that we not remember this sacrifice are you?
