Bless you Ani…a wonderful idea and beautiful act.
What do you all think of starting a prayer thread for him on the prayer forum? I would ask that his memories, emotions, and relationships be healed. Suggestions?
I agree. This is a good idea.Bless you Ani…a wonderful idea and beautiful act.
Why must it be that anyone who ventures to point out the errors of Roman Catholicism must be branded an anti-Catholic?Maybe a sticky on the prayer forum for all anti-Catholics, with James being the featured blogster.
Disagreement does not an anti-Catholic make. Misrepresenting Catholic teaching, mocking it, having rage-fests against Catholics does. Why must it be that anyone who ventures to point out the errors of Roman Catholicism must be branded an anti-Catholic?
The thread is not about Matt Slick. It is about James White. Also it is about the disproportionality of his recent behaviour viz Francis Beckwith.People like James White, and Matt Slick do not hate Catholics.
What’s amazing to me is that you don’t see that what you are really asking for is not charity, but tolerance. So someone who calls White to be charitable is the same as the the Islamic bombers? It is truely amazing that you will actually try to defend this.
Mocking it? Rage-fests? - Really people.JBaker45:![]()

Okay. (Although the pattern of behavior among the Catholic APO community is definitely not specific to Dr. White alone.)JBaker45:![]()

I can agree that it was unwarranted and disproportionate of Beckwith to accuse White of doctoring. Also it is about the disproportionality of his recent behaviour viz Francis Beckwith.
I am certainly glad he is giving reason and am grateful that he has stepped down from his position, as he has certainly accepted another Gospel.I think that Dr. Beckwith is quite a big enough person to speak for himself, and since so many n-Cs/a-Cs and especially evangelicals have made a hue and cry of “But why!?”, the fact that he is taking opportunities to offer his reasons seems the only rational and honest thing to do.
Yeah, thats the Catholic derived concept of the “Body of Christ”. I believed the true Body of Christ, in the purest sense, is simply all the true believers in Christ, of which their are no tares.Actually he took a step toward the gospel of Grace with his conversion. To be seperated from the body of Christ is to be seperated from the Grace of God. The (Catholic) Church is the body of Christ as Paul makes clear in his epistle to the Ephesians.
And yet the RCC teaches that Muslims (for example) can go to heaven. There is no True Belief in God at variance with the Fullness of Faith that resides in the Catholic Church and that is true regardless of who accepts it.
One can love Catholics and still be anti-Catholic. The basic anti-Catholic position is that Catholics are not Christians precisely due to their Catholicism. It doesn’t matter if that position is expressed with a great deal of love (out of a desire to convert Catholics, for example)—it is still anti-Catholic.Why must it be that anyone who ventures to point out the errors of Roman Catholicism must be branded an anti-Catholic?

It doesn’t matter; it still remains that it’s inflammatory, and is dismaying to anyone with decency and common sense. So whether the pictures are a response to the accusations, or are the focus of the accusations themselves, the bottomline is that its objective is to disparage and hurt people, and not produce any move towards civil discussion.ROTFL - The pictures are his very humorous response to the false accusations silly![]()

Actually, we expect both. Just as we Catholics offer to n-Cs.What’s amazing to me is that you don’t see that what you are really asking for is not charity, but tolerance.
You simply don’t want anyone to criticize you, or, Mother church, and especially someone who’s criticism is as direct, and, IMO, as accurate as White’s.
Since I have already posted in this thread, I would like to point out, in order to avoid confusion, that I and kaycee are two different people. Please do not confuse us in your posts.
I am afraid to say, I have frequently confused you two, and in fact, just now realized that there were twoI never confuse the two of you, even if you post sequentially in a thread.![]()
I’m still betting it’s only one person, “dealing with some issues.”I am afraid to say, I have frequently confused you two, and in fact, just now realized that there were two.
It does explain the seemingly divergent personalities that seemed to be coming from the “same” person.
My apologies, for any past confusion on my part:tiphat:
Then the problem of your upset lies completely with you; your expectation of tolerance from White on issues pertaining to what he considers to be errors within your theology are unrealistic, and your attitude in this will always disappoint you—White, as well as others critical of your theology, will persist in their criticisms of that theology, even though that might hurtActually, we expect both. Just as we Catholics offer to n-Cs.
This certainly is a question of perception; isn’t it?Criticism? Sorry but I see mockery. That’s not criticism…White’s been critical all along and I generally could care less and deal with the facts while doing my best to ignore the rhetoric.
And yet so many, many remain unconvinced as to the accuracy of what you believe that you have shown so many, many times concerning White, such that you should wonder what it is that you think you’ve shown them.Direct is no problem, accurate is a matter of opinion as we have shown many many times in discussions of his rhetoric.
Because I agree with him; what was posted on White’s blog concerning this issue is not directed at the whole of your particular community; it is directed only at those who are calling for tolerance under the guise of calling for charity. Why defend him? Would you appreciate it if I posted similarly altered photos with reference to you and your particular community?
