Hello, folks.
Reading through the Jesus appearences to the apostles after they have found the empty tomb and the transfiguration, I have realized the disciples never actually recognized Jesus. Instead, scripture makes one understand the person the disciples saw had a completely different body than Jesus’ body, which brings me the doubt: couldn’t the apostles and the other more than 500 eyewitnesses have seen a completely different person, and believed this person (faking being Jesus for whatever reason it was) was Jesus? Why? Why not?
