Yes I do and I do not apologize for this belief as the Bible teaches it and the Church proclaims it.

God bless

A Christian must never apologize or be politically correct about what the Bible and the Church proclaim to be Truth.

Yes, Jesus was born of a virgin. I believe that. Mary had only to say yes to God and she was pregnant with Our Savior.

Actually, that word (in Hebrew, at least) didn’t mean just ANY young woman, but ‘young woman of royal birth’ …in this case, of the line of David.

That narrows it down a bit.
Cool, but I still say that it is not much of a prophacy if it only means “young woman.” Lots of young women conceive a child. It is when a virgin does it that it makes news.

Also, in response to the term used above…
" immaculate conception"…if I remember my early Catholic school lessons, it refers to Mary. She was conceived without sin…she was born without that original sin we are born with and had no need to be baptised as we are now to “cleanse” us of original sin.
🙂

I’m puzzled as to where you got this theory from? 🙂
Because I can’t find that meaning of “almah” in any lexicon?

Yes of course Jesus was born of a Virgin.

And for those who wonder about the Immaculate Conception of Mary ~ it makes perfect sense that God would make a Holy Vessel for the Incarnation. Mary did not make herself sinless, God did that. He made her that way from the very beginning. People looking for logic can find it here. God made a Holy Place for the Incarnation to occur. Did you think it would happen somewhere else?

One common misconception is that the “Immaculate Conception” has something to do with the birth of Jesus. The other common misconception is that somehow Mary, being sinless through the Immaculate Conception is somehow less human than the rest of us. She’s not. She was simply made sinless by God to effect the Incarnation.

YES! My Lord was born of the Blessed VIRGIN Mary, no doubt about it 👍

Hi everybody! 🙂

Thanks a lot for your response. It is really refreshing to hear from you especially to those who say ‘yes’ to the question of the thread.

What does this virgin birth means to you? Has anyone ever existed on this earth who was borne of a virgin? Some people quote legends and myths and obviously there were gods and goddesses borne of unnatural means. Can it be said that Jesus falls in this category? Why must he be borne without a human father? Is there any significance to it?

Hi

Jesus was born of a Virgin which symbolically indicated that there won’t be any Messengers from God Allah YHWH in the Jews due to their rude behaviour with them.

Jews were now unable to father a Messenger of God. One of the prime purposes of Jesus was to prepare Jews, his people, for the advent of Ahmad- the Seal of the Prophets, who was to come after Jesus.

This was the Gospel or the good tiding that was Jesus assigned by God Allah YHWH to spread in Jews in my opinion.

I love Jesus

Thanks

Of course, I have never actually thought she wasn’t.

Besides, with IVF its possible for a woman now to give birth while she’s in a virginal state.

But 2000 years ago such tech didn’t exist, so yeah, Mary was a virgin. I mean, really, if Jesus Christ who is God incarnate in flesh can rise from the dead, is it that hard a stretch to beleive God can cause a pregnancy in a virgin?

I often wonder, though, would GOd have made Jesus look like Joseph? If you did a DNA test on Jesus, what would the results be? Maaaaan, I can’t wait to get to HEaven I am going to nag God like no body’s business with all these questions… like, do workers at Bell Tea get a coffee break?

Hi

You can make a guess however. I understand that there is a doplhin giving birth to an issue withut mating with a male. Its DNA test could be made a starting point for a guess.

I love Jesus

Thanks

Actually, I know at least two people who were born to virgins. Modern medical science can do it very easily.

The question isn’t whether someone can be born of a virgin; it is, how many people can claim God as a mortal, as well as Eternal, Father?

The fact that such stories exist in mythologies of different peoples does not prove anything to me. Jesus’s brith is different on many, many levels.

First, there was no copulation between the Blessed Virgin and God.

Second, when taken as a whole, Jesus is unlike any other figure in any other religion

Third, the reasons for his birth of a virgin are unique

yes i believe and please remember our lord can do any thing, mary was virgin

In the name of Allah , Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Salaam/peace
Hi

Mary delivered the Child herself without the least aid of a midwife
well , angels were there to comfort her 🙂

Surah 19. Mary

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree:

She cried (in her anguish): “Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!”

But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;

"And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.

"So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being’ ( 19: 23-26)
