You said "“Only someone who is both God and Man can mediate between us and God.” and I am in disagreement with this statement as I have aslo made known in my responce.
Nowhere in Scripture does it teach “Jesus is both God and Man.” The false and deceptive doctrine “Jesus IS God!” has lead many into believing diverse concepts of other false doctrines such as Holy Trinity, Oneness, Two Yahwehs (Dualism), and etc. Not once has Yahshua ever proclaimed to be “God”. Nowhere in the Scripture am I ever taught or asked to confess “Jesus IS God!” I am only taught and asked to confess in Scripture that Yahshua is the Messiah the son of the living Yahweh.
Only a person with a human body can die. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh so that He could die for our sins and reconcile us to God. The Word (only-begotten Son of God) could not come to earth and reconcile us to God as a Spirit. He had to become flesh first and then die for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God.
The **Lord **is
one God:
Mark 12:29-30 “Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘
Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’This is the first commandment.”
Mark 16:14 Later He (JESUS) appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen."
The Lord is God. The Lord is one. Jesus is the Lord. Therefore, Jesus is God. Simple logic.
Romans 5:1 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”
2 Timothy 4:1 “I charge you therefore before God and the
Lord Jesus Christ,
who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:”
1 Peter 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
Matthew 7:21-23 ““Not everyone who says to Me (JESUS), ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Jesus is Lord. Jesus judges on Judgment Day. Jesus is God. He is the second Person of the Blessed Trinity.
Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
John 5:21 “For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.”
Both the Father and the Holy Spirit raise Jesus/Word from the dead.
1 John 2:22 “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.”
1 John 4:2-3 “By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and
every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”
2 John 1:7-8 “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess
Jesus Christ (WORD) as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.”
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.”
John 1:14 “And the
Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Please take a course on logic and reasoning or else join a forum with persons who think as you do so that you will fit in and be content with your beliefs. We will not be changing ours. Scripture states that your thinking is that of the antichrist.
Jesus is my Lord and my God. His Father is also my God. The Holy Spirit is also my God. Jesus is the Word made flesh. John 1. Three persons, but only one God.
