Jesus was the fulfillment of scripture. It is not surprising that He would use it since He is the author of it.

I asked many question growing up and especially as an adult in the Presbyterian church I was a member - they always dismissed my questions.either Zahava didn’t try to question this ‘understanding’ of hers by further discussion with whomever she ‘received it from’ right from the start so that if the mistake were ‘imposed’ on her by another she could have quickly found the correct and authentic acknowledgement that “parables” as a style are not ‘new Christian teaching’, and that if the mistake were hers, she would not have gone so ‘long’ with misapprehensions.
